chapter 6- a date, and a murder

There on her bed was a naked Nicki covered in blood. It didn't faze me seeing her naked seeing as she was limp. There was a big slash on the side of her body it started at her ear, and went all the down her leg ending where her heel is. On her stomach were bruises. It looks like she had been punched. Her eyes were swollen and purple, her nose was crooked, and her lip was cut. Beside her was a note.
It read 'Give us back Vanessa and Zack. If you choose not to give them back we will get rid of each and every one your pack members just like we did your dear little Nicki. We will give you another year to make your decision. You will know when your time is up.' Well that was bad move. Good thing the pack was well trained.
"Listen we need to get her ready to prepare a proper funeral," Blake told me from beside me. Which made me think why would he come in here. "Why were you in here anyway?" I  asked him. " I was in my office when I felt someone disconnect from the mind link. I mind linked everyone and they reported back except Nicki. So I came to check on her and she was here," he explained. "Okay we need to get her ready, can you tell the people from the morgue to come get her and contact the funeral home?" I asked but it came out more of a demand. "Anything for you my love," Blake said playfully.
Ever since I told him friends only he's been saying things like "for you my queen' or 'Your wish is my command. I'm not goona lie and say I don't like it, because I do. I love him he's the love of my life. 6 months into the friendship I've loved him. He knows I love him though. "Ness did you hear me," Blake asked beside me. "I'm sorry what did you say?"I said looking flushed.
"I said if you wanna- I'm you don't have to but uh.." "I would love to, when?" I said answering his question. I knew he was goona ask me out I just thought it would be later. "Thank god, I thought you were going to say no," he said feeling relieved. "Why would you think that? You know I love you. Besides I was kinda hoping you would ask me out soon," I told him truthfully.
"I love you too. I'll pick you up at seven. Wear something casual. I won't tell you where were going because its a surprise. Its tonight," he told me while kissing my cheek. "Alright, I'll be waiting. Don't be late, I know where you live," I told him with a grin on my face, and I left the room to get ready.
"Annmarie I need you!!!!" I yelled as I pounded on her bed room door. She came out 2 minutes later with a pair of shorts and a tank top. With her hair messy. "What do you want?" she asked with a groggy voice meaning she just woke up. "c'mon I need to get ready for my date with Blake," I told him Her while she followed me to my room. "I'm happy for you, but remind why I'm your best friend again? I mean best friends don't wake each other up while their taking a nap," she said faking to be sad.
"Whatever, you need to help me get ready," I said stretching out the 'r' in whatever. We reached my room and walked into my closet it was currently 6 so it gave me an hour to get ready. I picked out a pair of black shorts with a black V net and black converse. I know that's a lot of black but it looks cute. I also just put my hair up in a ponytail.
 Annmarie didn't really do anything she just watched. "Good luck. Just be yourself," she said bringing me in to hug her. She was the bestest best friend a girl can have. "Thanks, you always know what to say. I love you,  you're like a sister to me," I said to her while hugging her back.
 I checked the clock and it read 6:57 pm. I took that long to get ready. It  felt like ten minutes. I got snapped out of my thoughts as a knock was heard at the door, and Blake walked in. He was dressed in pants and a black v neck. "You ready to go," he said from the door way. 
"Ready when you're ready," I said walking towards him. "Okay, shall we," he said holding out his arm for me. "We shall," I told him taking his arm. "Nice shirt by the way," he said as we were walking down the stairs. "I know, I love your shirt too," I told him. " You know what they say. Great minds think alike," he said smiling down at me. "I would say I have have a great mind, I just don't know about your mind," I told him jokingly. "Haha, very funny." he said as we reached the bottom of the stairs. "So are you going to tell me where we're going or.." I asked him while we were making our way to the car. "Just get in the car and you'll find out when we get there," he said getting in the driver seat, and I got in the passenger seat. Once I was in the car I turned on the radio. "OMG, I love this song," I said as I sang along to let me in by grouplove

" I know, I know, I sound horrible," I told while he just looked confused at what I said. "Are you serious? You're really good nessa.  I'm not just saying that because you're my mate. You're amazing," he told me seriously. I didn't notice we were at our destination until a bird flew by our window making me jump.
"You took me to a park for our date," I said sincerely. Blake knows I always wanted to go to the park, since I never went as a child so I was really touched. There were swingsets, monkey bars, rock climbing, a slide that was about 2 stories tall, a pyramid you can climb, and a pond full of ducks. It was perfect. "Yea, if you don't like it we can go somewhere else. I just know since you never gone to a park that-" "It's perfect," I whispered to him and kissed his cheek. "Well lets get out and have our date," he said as he was getting off the car.
