Jay Rollins and Ryan Summers.
The two main notorious bad boy players of their high school. But their story was completely different. The two shared a long history.
One would never in a million years, believe that Jay and Ryan once shared an unbreakable bond of friendship.
But that one incident. A horrid and heinous incident that brought shivers down the spine lead it all to a culminating dead end. The two loathed each other from the deepest cores ever since.
An unbreakable friendship turned into an everlasting rivalry.
This had sustained for the past three years and vowed its potential to last a lifetime. The two had never spoken a word to each other until now. And the reason being behind it all; the most light, irrelevant and silliest reason (or so it was thought) - a girl.
It is a Friday evening and fewer and fewer days in counting for the most awaited final play-offs. The Riverwood Team had been meticulously practicing hard as the team had been summoned after school hours till late evening , even on a Friday. On the contrary, there were many obvious disheartened faces.
After hours of religious and sportive practice sessions, it was finally time to leave with a peace of mind. But not yet. Not so soon for a certain Jay Rollins. Little did he know that his departure awaited more.
A challenge to be posed.
A mission to be accomplished.
The now very tired boys wait in the boys locker room as a premonition hollers over Jay. The unexpected happens as Jay's shrewd eyes witness Ryan Summers walking towards him.
"How's it rollin' , Rollins?" One of the guys behind Ryan shouts as everyone in the room burst into a fit of laughter at the obvious intended pun.
A dark frown rules over Jay's face as his muscles flex in anger. An evil smirk spreads over Ryan's face at the sight.
"What do you want, Summers?" Jay spits back.
"Guys, have you checked out the new girl yet? What's her name again? Victoria? V-"
"Vanessa!" Screams an angry voice. A voice that belonged to Jay. He couldn't resist how disrespectfully they were speaking of her.
"Well. Well. Well. Would you look at that? Our lover boy is angry. She's got some bomb-"
"STOP!" The intensity and terror in Jay's voice suddenly scares everyone.
"Don't you dare speak another word about her!"
"Or what?" Ryan teases.
" Or else my fist and your face are gonna have a long chat" Loud cheers accompany Jay's statement.
"You know, I must warn you. Keep your heads up. You never know what I'm capable of. " Ryan smirks, initializing a silent warning.
