With Julie asleep on Aro's lap, he calls for his and Caius' wife to be brought down. The kings stare at their mate while she sleeps curled up in Aro's lap. They can't believe that they have found their true mate. She is such a small delicate being that they will love and cherish for eternity.

The wives walk into the throne room curious about why they were called down to see their husbands instead of them coming up to see them. The first thing they notice is the kitten curled up on Aro's lap, then the looks of love and adoration that the kings are giving it. Is this what they were called down for? This pathetic creature. They were never called down for such trivial things before. Not even the coven being in danger could take them from the safe haven of their tower.

"What is it that you have called us down here for, brother?" Athenodora asks, seeing as Sulpicia is not going to speak up. The kings hardly acknowledge the women as they make sure that their mate sleeps in peace. The guards stand ready knowing that the women are not going to like what is about to be said.

Aro looks up at Sulpicia and Caius to Athenodora.

"Dear wife and sister, after being together for centuries and keeping each other in company to keep loneliness at bay, we have finally found our true mate," Aro declares. The women stand there in shock. After being with their husbands for over 3000 years, the bitch finally shows up.

Wait, 'our mate'?

"What do you mean 'our mate'?" Sulpicia questions.

"Well as fate would have it, we are to share a mate. We have shared many years together and are family, so we do not wish for you to leave the coven, but if our mate wishes it then it will be done," Aro proclaims.

"What about Diyme, Marcus?" Athenodora remarks.

"We had a mate bond that was formed through time, not a true mate bond. I always thought that there would not be anyone else but her since true mates were rarely found. I see now that is not the case. Jus try being in the same room as Julie, I feel at peace and whole. It is truly a marvelous feeling," Marcus inclined.

"Do you feel the same, Caius?" Athenodora gritted out.

"I do," Caius stated.

"I will not accept this!" Athenodora exclaimed. She was fuming by now and would be red in the face if possible, but instead her eyebrows are scrunched together in anger.

"Keep your voice down," Caius sneered. The guards were all quiet as they watched the kitten's ears twitched and eyes lazily slid open. All three kings stayed quiet as their mate stretched out on Aro's lap and gave a big yawn.

Once realizing that all attention was on her, Julie jumped off of Aro and into Marcus' lap then climbed up his arm and onto his shoulder then curled up into his neck to hide from the peering eyes. Marcus smiled at his mate before reaching a hand up to pet her. She purred at his actions while Athenodora and Sulpicia watched with utter disgust.

"This rodent is your mate. You need a real woman, not this pest," Athenodora spits. Julie whimpers at her voice and Aro looks at the guards giving them a signal with his eyes. Two guards appear at Athenodora's sides and grab her arms, forcing her down on her knees. Two other guards grab Sulpicia's arms as well.

"We will not stand for any disrespect to our mate and your Queen. Now, do you wish to leave and never see us again or die?" Aro asks. Julie looks at him like he has just lost his mind. She quickly hops off of Marcus' shoulder and shifts mid-air. The ex-wives look on in amazement, but Athenodora quickly cover it with anger.

"Aro, why would you kill her?" Julie questions.

"She will just continue to hurt and berate you. I will not stand for you to be hurt in any way, kitten," Aro answers. Julie turns toward Athenodora and Sulpicia and says, "Please leave and find your mates. I am sorry that I am forcing you at of your home, but mates are a gift and I am not letting them go. Please go find yours."

Athenodora tries to get out of the guards' grip and yells, "You bitch! You think that I will give up Caius that easy!I will find you and drain you of your blood! I will slowly torture you to make you feel the worst pain ever! You will di-" Caius rips her head off and throws it to the ground. He takes deep unnecessary breaths to calm himself down before he does something else in front of his mate. Julie and Sulpicia watch in horror as they light Athenodora's body on fire to finish her off.

"Why?" Julie chokes out, "Why did you kill her?"

Cause turns and says, "Because she holds grudges and would have come back for you if we let her go. I could not risk your safety by setting her free."

"Sulpicia," Aro draws her attention to him, "Athenodora made her choice, now it is your turn."

"I leave to find my mate," she declares.

"Excellent," Aro says with a smile, "You may be on your way. Safe travels."

Sulpicia turns and leaves right away, no longer wanting to be in the kings' presence. Aro walks over to Julie and strokes her cheek softly, sadly announcing, "We have some business to attend to, so why don't you get to work on designing your room. We shouldn't take too long, okay kitten?" She nods her head and leans up for a kiss which Aro happily accepts. She then skips over to Marcus and gives him a kiss before heading over to Caius. She takes his hand and guides his face to look at her.

"I am sorry you had to see that, my dear. I just couldn't sit there and listen to her about hurting and killing you," Caius says with love, sadness, and anger swirling in his striking red eyes.

"It's okay, Caius. I understand why you did it. I would do the same for you. I love you," Julie turns to look at her other mates, "All of you."

Caius smiles placing his hand on her cheek and kisses her. When they separate, they smile at each other, then Julie turns and leaves the room with the love struck kings watching her go.
