I, Luciana and Ryan were standing beside the car chit chatting while I carried Ashley in my arms. After a while, I noticed Derek standing beside me.

"I told you I wanted to talk to you," he said.

"What?" I asked, trying not to look at him.

"Can I have your number?" He asked.

"011-56-55-453," I said. It wasn't a big deal giving him my number anyways.

"Thanks," he said, smiling at me.

"You're welcome." I smiled back.

"Ana, let's get going now." Mom called out.

"Just a minute mom," I replied.

Turning to them, I said, "Goodnight guys," I handed over little Ashley to Lucy.

"Bye," they all chorused.

I started walking down to the field where the car was packed.

It's 9:00pm and I'm already feeling extremely bored. I decided to phone my Bestie, Nora Elvis. Nora Elvis is down to earth: my comforter, my sister and my bestie for life. We've both been busy these days so I thought now is the best time to talk. I grabbed my phone and dialled her number.

Nora
Dialling....

"Thank God you called. I was almost taken captive by boredom," she said.

"I guess that makes the two of us." I wasn't ready to hide mine too.

"So how are you doing and what's with that spark in your voice girl?" She asked, sounding suspicious.

"I've been doing great lately and how about you? Well..... I guess someone is the reason." I felt I needed to confide in her.

"Ohhh....mind to feed me in on it? I'm doing fine." She asked, sounding curious.

"I kinda met some guy and I think I kinda like him." I told her not sure if I really meant it.

"Where did you meet him?" She sounded kinda unhappy.

"In church," I said.

"Bestie, are you sure about this?" She was  sounding worried.

"I guess so. Why asked?" I wasn't sure if I really wanted that.

"You've been through lots of heartbreak and you don't deserve to go through such again. Don't fall blindly for some guy you just met," she told me and I knew for a fact that she's right.

"I know. I guess you're right. I'll try to find out more about him and not fall too deep for him." I assured her.

"That's right girl. Guys are not to be trusted," she said and yes, I totally agree with her.

"Yeah, sure." I said.

"Gotta go, will meet you in church tomorrow and I want to meet him to make sure he's not joking with my girl," she has started sounding protective as always.

"Sure. Bye," I said happy to know my bestie's got my back.

"Sure," she said before hanging up.

She just made my day complete.

But I still can't get my mind off him. Could he be just another player? I just need to be more careful and not let my heart out for some loser to toil with ever again.
