8:35PM AT NIGHT
At exactly 8:35pm we arrived at his parents house.
Yeah, we're kinda late cause he dozed off because of the fever he had earlier today. The only thing I did throughout our journey down here was to admire him. The black suit he wore suits him perfectly making him look smart and sexy.
He turned over and opened the door for me, I went out and he held my hand while walking towards the front door. I was becoming too nervous.
"Ready for this?" He asked looking straight ahead.
"I'm nervous." I was feeling scared.
He stopped and turned to face me. "Don't let me down." He held my cheeks but I wasn't still feeling good about this.
"I'll be by your side, always. Don't be scared," he said again before leaning in to kiss me.
His lips felt good as always. I guess it was just what I needed to calm me down.
"These two love birds makes me want some young love again." I heard someone say causing me to break the kiss.
"Mom," Brayden said to the woman who made the statement.
"Son, she looks so beautiful," his Mom said walking towards me.
She has a pointed nose just like Brayden and he also inherited that charming smile of his from his Mom. I must say, she is gorgeous still looking like someone in her 30's.
"Hi," I said, feeling shy.
"You can call me Mom cause soon you'll be part of our family." She hugged me.
"Mom, how about Dad?" Brayden asked her.
"He's inside. Let's go in before our desert gets cold." She held me inside while Brayden followed suit.
The house looked awesome. The living room had a soothing palette in pale pink. The sofas were covered with original floral silk with 2 bronze side tables.
She walked me to the dining table. The dining table was exquisite. The walls were covered with shimmering gold paper and in the middle of the ceiling above the carved oak table was a candelabra. The cutleries were polished silver which shone brightly in the early evening night. At each place stood a wine glass and beautifully folded napkins to match the runner.
Across the carved oak table sat a man around 50years, I guess that's his father cause those blue eyes matched with Brayden's perfectly.
"Hi Sir," I said referring to the man.
"Is she the one Son?" He asked Brayden pointing at me.
"Yes Dad," he answered with a smile while taking a seat.
"What a beauty! Please have a seat." His Dad said to me and I took the seat next to Brayden. Mom shared the desert before taking her seat close to Brayden's Dad.
"What's your name?" His Dad asked me.
"Lana Alsina," I said to him smiling.
"He told us you two have been together for 6 months now, so how did you meet my son?" He asked while taking a full spoon of his meal.
"We met at Guring's Restaurant, he started the conversation like a real gentleman and we became friends." I made it sound real.
"A small world, I must say." His Dad smiled.
"So where did you propose to her son? I said Yes to your Dad in a club," his Mom said blushing.
"Mom? Club? Never knew you two were that energetic," he said causing everyone to laugh.
"Of course we were, your Dad was the sweetest man I had ever known." She stared at his Dad with a smile.
"Sweet. Well, I finally asked her to be mine forever on a beach after which I threw a party to make it official," he said, staring at me like he meant every word of it.
"And thank God she said Yes." His Mom gave us that big smile.
"Can I make a request?" His Dad turned to me.
"Sure," I said, taking a sip of the champagne.
"I haven't really seen my son this happy for years now. Can you stay here for a week or two so we can get to know you? Spend the night here and by tomorrow you can go get your things." His Dad requested.
That wasn't happening, how can I accept to that.
"Baby please, I guess he's right. At least they'll get to know you more before our wedding day?" Brayden said before I could even reject the request his Dad made.
What's wrong with him? One minute he's faking and the next he's acting like this is all real.
"If that will make you all happy, then I'll stay," I said grinning reluctantly cause I'm not happy with the decision he just made me accept.
"Treat her well son." Mom looked serious.
"Always." He lifted up his hands.
"I think I'm full. Thanks for the desert, it was super delicious." I lost my appetite due to the situation Brayden have gotten me into.
"Mom I guess we're both full. I'll take her upstairs so she can change into my shirt and put her to bed cause she looks pretty exhausted already." He got up.
"Goodnight," His mom said, still having some more.
"Night mom, night dad," I said getting up.
I followed him upstairs and he took me to his room. I noticed a four-poster iron bed, flat screen TV, gorgeous Oriental rug, walk in closet and a chandelier suspended above the bed. The wall lamps were carefully placed at the corners of the room. It seems he had a good taste but I was still mad at him for what he said down there.
"What was that act you pulled out there?" I yelled at him.
"I know that wasn't the agreement but I just want to see them happy." He sounded like it was nothing I should be upset about. But he looked sad, though.
"Don't give me that sad face." I looked away.
He walked up to me and hugged me, which was odd.
"You give happiness to everyone you come across without realizing it. And I think they really need this than ever. For once, I want to see them happy, can't you get it?" He said letting go of me and running his hands through his hair.
"I'm sorry." I held his hands.
"It's fine. Let me get you my shirt so you can change." He moved towards his wardrobe while I jump on his soft bed.
