*Anna's POV*

"Emily, I think we're done with the project." She looks at it and nods her head in agreement.

Amber comes into my room all dressed up, "Sister, where are you heading?"

"Number one, sister? Who says that? Number two, I'm going with Emily to the movies."

I look at Emily and she glances away. "I didn't know about this. I'll join, I've been looking for a break."

"Emily are you fine with that?" Of course she will be.

"Yeah, i guess so." Emily says this a bit glumly, "More money to spend though." She says this and laughs. Is she hiding  something? She has seemed a bit odd lately.

"Em, why are you all suited up for a movie?" My sister has always been quite the designer or should I say fashion police.

"Oh, this? It-it's my style, you know?" Em replies. She never stutters. What is going on here?

"Come into my room. I think I have something more you but better in my closet. If you even understand what I just said there." Emily laughs and follows. I get up to follow.

"Hold on sis, let me surprise you." Hmm let's see what Amber has in store.

After a few moments, Amber and Emily step back into my room.

"Ta-da!" My sister says this happily.

"Wow! Em, you look great! I'm loving this

"Wow! Em, you look great! I'm loving this." She looks stunning. I never noticed how pretty she is behind her glasses. Wow, more attention away from me I guess. Ugh! She's my friend, I should be happy for her.

Emily smiles to herself and says, "Okay, let me at least wear my glasses. They match anyways."

Amber lends me a blouse and smiles, "Here, take it. Change up the look a little. Oh, curl your hair a bit too."

"Okay, I'll find something to match then." I go into my closet and get a matching skirt.

"Woooo! You look great Anna." Em applauds me as she says that. I laugh, "Thank you, thank you."

"Wow sis, you really know how to fix up quick." She smiles at me and laughs. I stick my tongue out at her.

My mom comes in, "What's all this ruckus about?" she sees me and stares in awe.

"Mom you're so extra. Where is your Academy Award for best leading actress?" We all laugh.

"Honey, it's just that you look different. The good different. You girls have fun now, I have to get back to my book reading and pie making. Don't be out too late guys, have fun." She closes our door behind her.

Amber grabs her keys, looks at us and says,

"Let's have some fun, shall we?"

*Emily's POV*

To be honest, I was a little disappointed that Anna was coming along, but she's my best friend and I still love her no matter what.

After getting dressed up together, I realized I was being a little selfish with Amber. I mean I still want maybe a little time together, but I'll get over it. The car ride wasn't very long, just full of laughter and making bad jokes until we arrived. Anna went to pay for our tickets and refreshments while I took Amber to find a good seat.

The movie was a long one but it was good. It was the emotional parts I took as to my advantage to hold Amber's hand. Once the movie finally ended, we drove back home. I noticed in the car that Anna looked a bit upset and I didn't really know why, but I didn't care enough to ask. Once we got back to Amber's house, I decided to walk home since it's not that far a walk. I can't wait to see Amber again tomorrow.

What a night!
