Where is Anna? She's never late to a meeting. Everyone is waiting for he-
"I apologize for the delay, guys. Most important thing is that I'm here." She quickly pulls out her laptop and connects it to the projector.
As the meeting goes on, the rest of the committee agrees with Anna's ideas for the school. Through the glass doors, I see Amber waiting for her sister and I. She looks great in that uniform. I can't help but notice how attractive she is.

How can she be so gorgeous without trying? I need to stop fawning over her. This is my best friend's sister, I need to cool it.
"Emily, Emily, Emily!"
Anna's voice snaps me out of deep thought.
"Ahem, sorry, please repeat what you were saying." Lord.
"I was saying that we need new books. The library was last upgraded in 2015. What would you suggest we get?"
"Well Rupi Kaur or Kendare Blake would be nice."
Anna nods her head in agreement. The timer on her watch goes off.
"Meeting over. Everyone's dismissed." I get up along with everyone else and leave the room.

"Emily, what's up with you? Your mind wandered off in the meeting."
"Oh, it's nothing. Just thinking about our English project." I lie to her, she mustn't know.
"Oh shoot! I forgot all about it. We can work together at my place."
"Sounds great." I smile gleefully. I can barely contain my joy for seeing Amber. Oh, here she comes.
I can't help but feel flustered while walking next to Amber, her aura just makes me feel warm inside. As Anna makes a quick stop at the guidance counselor's office, I'm left alone with Amber. I can feel my heart pounding because Amber is standing so close to me.
"You feeling okay Emily?" I lose my train of thought thanks to a concerned sounding voice. I look up to see Amber looking worried. "Uh yeah I'm fine." Her worried look turned into a soft smile making my heart pound even more.
"Oh I'm glad your okay." I smile at her statement. "So I was wondering, would you mind catching a movie later today with me?" I feel my hands get a little sweaty worried she might reject me.
"That sounds cool, what time?" I can't help but smile ridiculously relieved that she accepted my request. " How does 6 pm sound?" She smiled and nodded. "Sounds great, I'll see you then." With that, she walked down the hallway and exited the school. After that, Anna finally walked out of the guidance counselor's office and we went our separate ways.
