I have knowledge that could end the world, if I so chose to do so.

Name: Leo "Bear" Wilder

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Faction: the enlightened

Appearance: with fair skin being a testament to years being spent indoors, training to become enlightened and follow in the footsteps of his father and eyes so blue they map the return of the nighttime constellations, Leo has never considered himself unattractive. He has, however, hated the fact that his curly mop of dark brown hair never much liked to be tamed. Standing at a height of 6'4", Leo has been believed by his people to be that much more important, for when he reached into the heavens he becomes closer to those they go insane to understand. A thin frame and sinewy muscles remind others that his body is not a heavily-fortified temple, but a temple nonetheless. His skin comes adorned with symbols of his people, graced by the honor he holds as an Enlightened and forever emblazoned with the markings of only those knowledgeable of the Supreme Beings that transcend this plane of existence. A parade of scars litter his body, paying homage to the very existence of himself and his practice. His pale lips are almost always drawn into a thin line; his natural mask when he finds himself lost in either thought or concentration.

Personality: Leo is surprisingly calm, especially considering his circumstances. He's had to take on meditation to offset the negative aspects of his life. Sometimes it's not enough, and insanity snakes into his brain, taking root in the part of him that yearns to keep control. It's hard to remain sane when your entire world is built around becoming the exact opposite for a chance at power. Because of this, Leo has had to resort to pain of the self-inflicted variety, which some may see as entirely bizarre but it helps him keep himself grounded. It's not often that he let's himself lose control, for he usually suffers inwardly and talks very little for fear of showing his delirious state that he's penned "Berserk Mode". Very original, I know. He is no stranger to pain, no enemy of evil, and no foreigner to power. He knows what it tastes likes and while the use of his abilities coats his mouth in iron he knows that the further he goes into that side of him, the more he likes it. The further he delves into insanity, the more that the iron runs red and the darker the blood on his lips stains. So he watches instead, using his abilities when necessary (and sometimes-if he can't control his craving for power-just for the hell of it) and understands the things around him that others would not know where to begin comprehending.

Other: Becoming enlightened was not his choice. It never would've been, but his father took no time training him to follow in the path of his ancestors. Maybe he holds a grudge for this, maybe it's just because he never really cared for spiralling out of control. One thing's for sure: enlightenment came at a price that had been too burdensome for anyone he'd ever loved and he'd be damned if he let it be too much for himself.
