He fills a void, but he does it all wrong.
Name: The Cachail
Age: Old
Gender: Male
Faction: Unseelie Fae
Appearance: The Cachail strikes a person as predatory. The lines of his face are soft in one light and hard in another; his eyes are a blue verging on slate, glinting beneath a strong brow. Some say that his angular jaw gives him a wolfish appearance, while others find something birdlike in his long nose and delicate facial structure. Undeniable, however, is the preternatural hunger in his perpetually-stolid expression. Any observer can see that he wants something, though one should be loath to discover what that is. The crisp suits he wears betray his means, the powerful company he keeps betrays his status, and the sonorous words he speaks betray nothing at all.
Personality: As the Unseelie Court's lead investigator, the Cachail has honed his skills and intuition through centuries of experience. Like Ireland's raptorial cachailleacha, whose moniker he bears, he has a keen eye for the objects of his desire. In most cases, these are the facts and people pertinent to his investigations. When he understands the truth of a situation, and when the moment is right, he will dive for the kill without pause. In the vast majority of cases, the Cachail's investigative narratives are accurate; his few failures, however, have molded his character and diligence. Years of focusing on truths and peering through the world's glamours have reduced his sense for physical beauty. He cares little for material goods, though he does not want for them. This detaches him somewhat from the fierce debauchery of the Unseelie people and isolates him from those around him. Something important is missing, though the Cachail hasn't quite noticed yet. The Court prefers him hungry, and so hungry he shall stay.
