What else did I expect?

Nithya gives me that dirty smirk and maybe I had noticed Siddhant giving one to Aarav too.

I quickly got up and stood beside nithya thinking when did she get up from my lap. I called up dad to ask him to pick me up but he had already left for work.

"Maybe I can drop you? We are anyways going to the same place right"

After what just happened? No way. I can't take in any more amount of awkwardness. But how can I deny him? I can't even think of a reason right now.

"Okay"

"I have to drop Sid first. Is it okay ?"

Thank god. Siddhant is such a savior.

"Absolutely fine"

The car ride was fine but the elevator? Awkward again. I mean like what are we guys doing. Okay maybe we were way too close to each other in the morning but that doesn't mean we avoid conversation right.

"We had a good time right?"

"Totally"

Silence again.

"Umm.. Okay then. Bye."

"Wait a second. I was just thinking.....if we could.... You know....... Like, catch up over a cup of coffee in the evening."

Did I hear it right? Is he asking me for a date?

"Nothing important though. Just thought we should maybe like kinda work over our friendship."

Over expectations duh...

"Yah sure! Definitely! What Time?"

"5?"

"Perfect"

"I'll wait for you at the cafe. I'll reach there directly."

"Ohh okay"

The moment his door closed I was literally jumping. I know it's not a date. But I was as happy as I would be if I would meet Virat Kohli. Okay, maybe a little exaggerated because that would be the ultimate happiness in the world for me. Maybe I can say, I was as happy as I would be when my man hit a century? Better. Nevertheless, the point was that even if it is not a date for him, it is a date for me.

I relaxed for a bit and put on my most favorite dress and headed to the cafe. I looked at my watch to see that I was freaking 1 hour early.

I sat down at a table and was scrolling through my Instagram when I heard his voice.

"Didn't expect you to be so early."

Shit. What the hell. But wait why is he early?

"I could say the same thing for you."

"Maybe. But I thought that the guy was supposed to be there before the girl on a date."

I froze at his words. Date? Was this a date for him?

"Sorry?"

"Nothing nothing "

I was blushing but didn't pester him much as it would make things awkward.

"So yea. What else?"

"Nothing bah... Just trying to explore this one hell of a beautiful city."

"There's so much to see you know. Have you been to Charminar? Damn it is. People keep saying it's crowded and all but dude come on for the cup of Irani chai you get there, you can fight the world.
My city is so beautiful that it will take you months to explore and years to get over it..........."
