~Ciel's POV~

"I didn't do it..."

Her voice is delicate, fragile almost. Her eyes avert to the floor, her body physically tenses up and her fists clench together tightly.

"What do you mean?" I ask in a small voice.

"Everyone says that I killed my family. But, I didn't, I was asleep when the fire started; I can still feel the heat, smell the heavy smoke. It's always in my nightmares, I can't sleep because I'm reliving that night over and over again. I remember seeing my older sister's body on the floor, my brother trying to move his body, his skin scorched so badly that he screamed in pain every time he moved. I could see my other sister's body by the fireplace of the living room, she's burned to a crisp, her body slowly turning into ashes." Tears run down her face, but she continues. "I ran to my brother, trying to help him get out. He told me to leave, that's it's too late for him. His body went limp and he died in my arms. I grabbed the bags that my sister packed for me prior and I left. When I got a few blocks away, a group of men started surrounding me, they kept saying that I'll be valuable on the market; I was so afraid of them, but I needed to get away from there." She hesitates.

"What did you do, Emilee?" I frown.

"I...I...killed them." She whispers the last part.

"How?" Could this answer my question about her aura?

She finally looks up at me, and her eyes.... they changed colors. They become the brightest red I've ever seen. Is she a Demon?

"I'm not what you think I am. I'm a hybrid. Half human, half vampyr. That's the only way I was able to fight off those men. They knew what I was because of my father. He was human, yet, he was killed by those same men. All because of me. My brother and sisters are fully humans. I was the outcast of the family." When she speaks, she has a lisp because of the sharp fangs in her mouth.

I watch in shock and almost fear as her features become flawless, snowy white skin, ruby eyes, perfectly plump lips, and her hair becomes a snowy white; her eyes then turning to golden-yellow, and her fingernails grow into sharp claws.

She smiles a sadistic smile. "This is what I am, Ciel. A monster in human form."

~Alois's POV~

Claude hasn't found Emilee yet, and it's been a few weeks. Her scent was washed away by the storm on the night she left; I want her back here with me, she belongs by my side. I need her, why can't she see that?

I haven't given up looking for her, I've looked everywhere that she could possibly be, but to no avail, she isn't found. I'm sitting in my study, watching the wind dance around in the tall canopy of the nearby trees; even though the sky is blue, it seems my world has darkened to a bitter grey.

"My dear Emilee, where have you gone?"

~Emilee's POV~

I continue to stay at the Phantomhive estate, hiding from Alois's servants, but also hoping that he comes. As of this moment, I'm in the garden playing with Pluto; he chases me around the vast courtyard, barking at me and trying to catch me.

I sprint around a tree only to run into a chest. Sebastian. I pant and take a short rest from running from Pluto.

"What is it, Sebastian?" I look up into his ruby-red eyes.

"What are you?" His expression is most serious.

I chuckle, "you heard my conversation with Ciel, didn't you?"

No response.

"I am a hybrid." I show Sebastian my true form.

His eyes show no emotion. "If you have any reason to take my master's soul away, think again." He snarls at me.

I chuckle. "I have no reason to take Ciel's soul. He's all yours; unlike you, I don't require souls, just blood." I walk away, Pluto on my heels.

The wind blows toward the east, and I can smell blood; it's strong, almost pulling me in, I need to get inside the house. I run toward the house with the hell-hound hot on my trail. My throat burning again, I automatically start clawing at my neck, I make it into the dining hall and Ciel is in there. I lean against the wall, breathing heavily.

"Is everything alright, Emilee?" He asks, concerned.

"Blood." That's all I can say without toppling over.

From the expression on his face, I'm in my vampyr form. Sebastian walks in and is very surprised. The scent is stronger now. Is it Sebastian's blood that I'm craving? I look at him, restraining myself from attacking him.

"Ms. Emilee?" Ciel calls out.

"Emilee, how often do you feed?" Sebastian comes closer, I back away.

I shake my head, my throat dry and craving blood. I hold my neck, wanting to relieve the itching thirst. "I need to get out here."

I run out of the house and into the nearby wood, restraining myself and my hunger. I must've run far enough to catch a different scent: Alois.

My throat burns the worst, my body has been taken over by some unknown entity, carrying me to the side of the large mansion, and I jump to the window of Alois's office. Surprisingly enough, it's open a bit, giving me access to the room; I slip in as quietly as possible, noticing that Alois is sleeping at his desk. As soon as I see his angelic features, my thirst becomes a faint sting. I drape the throw blanket, that was on the couch, over the blond's shoulders. I write three words on a sheet of paper:

I love you

Then I go back to the window, about to jump out again, when I hear his velvety voice.

"Emilee?" Alois speaks softly.

I don't turn around, knowing that if I do, I won't be able to leave.

"I've been searching all over for you, my love." He says, wrapping his strong, comforting arms around my waist, holding me close to his body.

My body becomes frozen, conflicting within itself as of what to do. Should I turn around and face him, or should I break free of his hold on me and leave?
