(A/N:This chaper is written in a different way because it's centered in Maui's feelings more than what's actually happening, I'm just explaining...)

Maui's P O. V.

I launched myself to him with the hook in hand ready to mangle his leg off.

Back at the island, it was an accident, but this is serious now, he tried to eat me.

He dodged.

I can live with that.
He tried to take the hook.

Swung his claw at me.

No problem.
He kidnapped (Y/N) behind my back.

It threw me to the wall.

I'll go look for her.
But add that last one a wicked plan, hitting and using her to some sick purpose, inside a crystal pyramid, away from everything... away from me.

(Y/N) was still on the floor.

This is where things change.

Leaning on the hook to get up, I barely saw his claw lunging, connecting with the left side of my face. I'm sure he's venting after all this time, or he's likely trying to leave me unconscious. Either way, he's angry and really wants to kill me.

I spat a bit of blood before wiping some off and give Tamatoa a smug grin. He snarled as I lunged before I could land hit on him, his claw stopped my blow, clutching it tightly. "Ngaaah!" Tamatoa yelped, then he tried to slam me into the floor. I noticed he has gotten stronger than last time, that time he wasn't able to turn me down this fast, what's worse is that I know how to control my hook once again. I've to find a way to defeat him.

I have to split my attention between making up a plan and trying not to die. This is kind of hard if we count the fact he's stronger! Also I've to snatch (Y/N) back from crab cake. He's still rambling about a trident, and how I don't deserve it, how I already have a hook and that I'm power starved.

First of all, I've no idea what's he's talking about! What trident? Power starved, what the hell does that means?!

Second, he's the one how's not allowed to gain power. Just imagine it, this thing ruling over the the whole ocean, what's the best thing that might happen? Humans forced into the realm. That's the best scenario.

Each time he throws me, punches me or pounds on me, is kind of sucking my will and motivation to fight. I've to force me from time to time to drop my guard for a few seconds so I can glance over at (Y/N). It may sound chessy, dumb and many more things, but I really don't care, I promised her that I'll fight.

I promised her I'll fight, even if it costs me my arms and legs.

That I'll fight for her to stay.

I'll fight for her to live on.

She's been alone for far too long.

The funny part is that she was the one who save me despite her hate towards humans, and what was the first thing I did? Go back with them after they disposed me away. How even after I made a foolish mistake that could have killed the whole existing life, she gave me another opportunity.

Tamatoa grunted as I landed a slash on his face. He returned the blow filled with anger, prepared for that, I dodged and did this again. At this point he has made up my fighting pattern, and he has found a weak point.

When I took a glance at (Y/N), he attacked with all his might, he didn't hold back. I was thrown to the crystal wall, cracking it a bit. It was string enough to make my head dizzy, this made me realize the moonlight had changed hue. It was now a violet swirl of light figures.

(Y/N) was barely consious, but conscious enough to scream in pain all of the sudden.

Hey!!!!! It's also this book's b-day! A year ago the first chapter of this was published! Thank you everyone for the reads and support you've been giving this story!

I'll honest, I'm not a very open person, but I've to admit I was scared of writing this, cuz, well, this stuff was kind of stupid and childish to my friends and mates (I'm a junior so yeah...). It's very comforting to see people actually like this, anyways, thanks again, now, I leave you this pic of one of my friends 😇
