Chapter 4- Prince of Power

When we finally got to Brac halfway through the second day, we were surprised to see the governor had a welcoming party waiting for us. It was nice but I was expected he'd just greet us if even that. "Its nice to have you four here. We've been preparing for this day." He said.
"Its nice to be here." Denis replied.
"We have gifts for you!" The governor said. That's when i started to think they overdid it. Three servants came up beside him. Each of them held a box. I was confused why there were only three gifts when there was four of us.
A servant walked up to Denis and kneelled. He opened the box in his hands. Inside was a crown. "To Denis, heir to the throne, I give the crown of Bracklam. Should anything happen and the country be split, you shall be our king." The governor said.
Another servant walked up to Dan. He opened the box revealing a diamond. "To Dan, I give a diamond, the sign of wealth." The governor said.
The last servant walked up to Ashley. I looked down for a second thinking there was no gift for me. Ashley's gift was a bracelet. It was made of gold with jewels. "To Ashley, I give the bracelet of beauty." The governor said.
The governor then turned to two guards. They moved out of the way and the governor grabbed a sword from the guard behind them. It's hilt was made of gold, the blade had all kinds of crystals and jewels in it. Some blue, some red, some green, and all different colors. "To Eric, I give a sword, to show power. We believe youll use your power correctly." The governor handed me the sword. I nodded as to say thanks. He then gave us a tour of Bracklam...
