Chapter 23

Jun Kai's POV
When I woke up I saw Jing Yi sitting there and already dressed, it seems like shes waiting for me to wake up while she sits on the couch, typing on her phone. I guess shes talking to her cousin huh? And what time is it...? I got up and checked the bedside table where my phone is.

But it isn't there... where did my phone go? I guess I'll ask Jing Yi if she have seen my phone some where. "Hey, Jing Yi have you seen my phone anywhere?" I asked her as I'm walking towards her. She looked up from her phone. "Your phone? Erm......" She said while hesitating.

"Erm...? What?" I asked while I'm looking at her suspicious. "Ummm... I have your phone..." She said while looking away and handing my phone to me. "I-I'm sorry..." She apologised. I patted her head and said, "It's okay, did anyone call me on the phone?" I asked while taking a seat beside her.

"Y-yeah, Wang Yuan called and thats it." Jing Yi said while forcing a smile on her. "What did he say?" I asked her.

Jing Yi's POV
"Hey, Jing Yi have you seen my phone anywhere?" Jun Kai asked as he walked towards me. Should I tell him and give his phone to him? I wish I never picked up the phone call from Wang Yuan... I don't want to know that he is leaving... "Your phone? Erm......" I said while trying to think if I should tell him or not.

I mean... I really wanted to forget what Wang Yuan through the phone but then... its tomorrow isn't it? He is gonna leave tomorrow... to work... I don't even know when he will be back... but we are back to the start with the friendship... so why am I overwhelming with sadness right now?

"Erm...? what?" He asked while titling his head slightly. I... I have to say the truth... since we are now friends right? Normal friends, so I can't lie to friends. But I'm also scared that he will get mad... well... if doesn't wanna be friends anymore I... I don't know how I will react but... let's give it a try, its better than not saying the truth right?

"Ummm... I have your phone..." I said as I avoid the eye contact with him while giving back his phone. "I-I'm sorry..." I quickly apologised, after he got his phone back. He reached his hand over my head, I flinched a little bit before he patted my head. E-eh...? Why is he patting me? I... don't get it...

"It's okay, did anyone call me on the phone?" Jun Kai asked while taking a seat beside me. Ehhh... should I say it...? I mean... Wang Yuan literally called him to tell him that he has to go work tomorrow though... hmmm... I mean... I can't be lie about that right? Since Wang Yuan would tell Jun Kai later on anyways. Might as well just say it.

"Y-yeah, Wang Yuan called and thats it." I said while trying to smile genuinely. "What did he say?" Jun Kai asked. "Ehh... erm... Wang Yuan said that he needs you to be back today, to take apart on a TV show? I think...?" I said while trying to remember what he said.

"Oh okay, let's get ready to head back home today, since we have school tomorrow." Jun Kai said while smiling.

~Time Skip to the school day~
*Long Sighhhhhhh* So... now we are back to normal friendship... but then... his not coming to school today! Wuaaaaa! Why?! Ugh... finally freakin' resolved the problems, but then he just had to go to work ;-; being a celebrity is hard isn't... I really want to help him out but then I can't...

What can I even do to help? Ugh...! I can't do anything... "Jing Yi!" Hao Yu called out "huh?" I said looking up at her "I've been calling for a while now, can't you hear me?" She asked "no..." I replied, "Well.. the teacher had already explained what we have to do." She said.

"What are you day dreaming about?" Hao Yu asks. "Erm... nothing..." I said while avoiding eye contact with her. "You know it's gonna take a week for them to finish their job." Qian Xi said while sitting in Wang Yuan's seat. "Really? But why aren't you going?" I asks.

"Oh, it's because I'm not needed just yet for my scene." Qian Xi replied. "Oh, so that's why your still here." I exclaimed. "Yeah, but anyways, I'll have to go back to my seat now and finish the work that the teacher set for us to do in class." Said Qian Xi went to his seat.

I turned back to my desk and started zooming out again.

~After School~
*sigh* why do I have to stay after school to clean the classroom? I get it that I haven't did it and it is like my first time... but... why? Well.. the teacher kinda said that she kinda forgot that I haven't even tried cleaning the classroom and also... since Xiao Kai is out working the teacher told Qian Xi to do it.

I'm kinda glad it with Qian Xi instead of Xue Lin or other people to be honest, because if it is other people Xue Lin can easily access or easily get close to me and hurt me while I'm a lone in the class room with her and the other person, which they might either help her hit me or... they will be a bystander and record the scene with their phone.

And when I fight back... they will just cut that scene out and post it on the school's website and yeah... Qian Xi asks "Hey, Jing Yi can you sweep the floor while I clean the black board?" "Yeah, sure!" I looked around the room trying to find the broom stick, I couldn't seem to find it.

"Erm... Qian Xi... I don't see it anywhere..." I said while looking at him. "Here, I'll go get the broom stick from the janitors room and you'll clean the rest of the black board." He said while handing me a cloth. "Okie dokie." After a while I just have a little bit of it to clean in the very corner of the board.

I went and to clean it but I heard a door opening, "Qian Xi I am almost done with wiping the board then I'll go clean the floor." There was no reply, I turned around and saw...
