RM kept on giving me his lecture. At this point I knew he wouldn't believe me. We've been at it for hours. I just wanted to know if Jimin was OK. A scientist burst into the room. She startled both of us.

"He hasn't come back!"

"Who?!" RM yelled clearly upset that she had interrupted.

"Jimin! I asked him to get a book at the library and its been 2 hours. It shouldn't take that long." She was completely stressed out.

I stood up my hands still cuffed.

"Why would you let him go?!" I knew what this meant.

RM immediately called someone. "We have an emergency check the library. Jimin is off the grid"

"Copy." A voice replied.

The scientist just stood there horrified "I didn't think something would happen and he seemed completely up for the task"

"He's not here. Witnesses saw nothing as well. The keeper mentioned getting a book for him and then he was gone."

No. He was supposed to be safe here. "It's her. She took him"

RM looked me. "Do you know where her headquarters are?" he was reluctant to ask for my help.

"Yes." Anger overwhelmed me. "I will kill her if she hurts him. Let me go! I'll find him!" I couldn't even recognize my own voice.

"You wouldn't be able to do that. You know she has control over you. She might even force you to kill him" RM said.

He was right. Shit.

Humans are also under her control if they are close enough. Knowing her, the longer it takes the more chances Jimin is already dead.

"She just wants me. I'll give her what she wants."

"That's suicide" said RM

"Yeah well. It would solve all your problems wouldn't it? I'll be out of your hair and you'll have Jimin back."

He seemed surprised by my response. I would go through it all again if it meant even a chance of Jimin being free.

"Maybe there's a third option" The scientist chimed in.

We both looked at her.

"We've made a prototype of the cure. We just haven't been able to test it yet. So were not sure if it will work."

"Use it on me." I didn't hesitate.

My response surprised both of them.

"It could kill you. In theory it should cut the tie you have to the pure blood but if not, it will just attack the virus that is keeping you alive."

"Just do it, We're running out of time"

"How long until you know it works?" RM asked.

"That depends. A few hours maybe. And even then, if it doesn't work we need time to improve it."

"We don't have time! Every minute that passes she gets closer to killing him, or worse, changing him and if she gets bored..." I didn't even want to say what she does when she gets to that point.

RM walked to me and stared into my eyes with a serious and focused expression. "You really would do anything for Jimin wouldn't you?"

"Yes."

He hesitated and scanned his thumb-print on the cuffs I was wearing. They opened.

"Do what you gotta do." he said.

I hastily followed the scientist into her lab RM close behind us. She prepared a syringe with the anti virus that could save Jimin's life or end my own. I rolled up my sleeve, ready to be injected.

"Are you sure about this?" She said before doing it.

I nodded.

The moment the liquid entered my veins it felt like acid spreading through my arm. The pain was worse then anything I have ever experienced. It was worse then when I was changed into a vampire. I screamed. RM held me down. I'm sure he thought I would attack someone.

All I could see was red.

Is this the way I die?

I couldn't fail...

Jimin...
