chapter five

The man ran, in fact he ran very fast. I was shot twice, but I'm not in pain, and there is no blood to be found on my body, and the man who just shot Chase just ran away. You have the silver rose! That's what the man told me. Does the silver rose make me immortal?

I decided to bring Chase to the hospital nearby and they took him. They called his parents and everything was dealt with. Chase was dead.

I imagined how Chases parents felt when they got a call saying their son is in the hospital. I couldn't stand thought of that.

As I was walking home, a deep voice called me over.

"Hey," he said avoiding eye contact. "You go to Everwest High, right?" he asked.

"Yeah, you too?" I asked confused why he wanted to talk to me. He nodded. I was not in a good mood. I guess he noticed that.

"You look down. Is something wrong?" He asked now looking me in the eyes. This is when I realized how attractive he was.

"Who are you?" I blurted out ignoring his question.

"Gabriel, well Gabe," he told me. "And you?" he asked.

"Taryn, just Taryn," I said awkwardly.

"So is there something I can help you with? You seem sad and well, I wanted to know if I can help you," he said as he scratched the back of his head.

We walked along and I told him everything, he told me he wanted to help. Gabe was shocked with this whole situation.

"So now you can't die?" He cried exited for some reason.

We kept walking until I invited him into my house, there was no one home.

"That's crazy," he said as he sat on my bed.

"I know it sounds crazy but it happened," I told him.

"Chase was a very good friend of mine," Gabe said as he looked down at the floor.

I picked his head up delicately and said: "I'm sorry."

My hand still on his chin he leaned in for a kiss, and I kissed him. He pushed me against the wall next to my bed. His kisses were sweet and amazing I didn't want to stop.

Am I some hoe now who always kisses different guys? The first guy I kissed though, is dead.

Gabe began kissing my neck and sucking it, it felt amazing.

He brought his kisses back to my lips and then he broke away. He looked at my dry eyes smiling and I was smiling too.

"See you tomorrow?" I said.

"See you tomorrow," he said and left my house.
