We both walked farther away from the other mantion as I started to think about my dad. Mom was walking next to me in silence, as we started to roam the streets. The night was dark, but lit up with the streetlights glowing down over everything. The moon was in a cresent sitting in the sky, as the grey clouds flew over us, high in the sky. There were no stars in the sky, seeing that it was a bit of a cloudy night. The cool breese made mom shiver as we continued to walk down the street. Bat's flew above us as the made shadow's in the night. Some of them made a high pitch cry as they flew away in the night. I sighed as I thought of the fact that I wanted to be home, safe with dad. I held my arms as I shivered from the breese, as it felt like ice chunks hitting my skin as it crosed my way. Mom was walking slowley next to me, as she suddenly collapsed on the ground. "Mom" I said, as I lowered towards her. She was looking very pale at the moment, which made me wonder how much blood did they take from her. Mom shifted towards me as she spoke. "Rowen, go home and leave me" she said weakly, as a shadow was casted over us. I looked up to find the blue haired vampire standing over us again. He looked at us in anger, standing tall to tower over us. "You guy's done fighting?" he asked as he looked in my direction. He cracked a smile as he lowered his hand in my view but then stopped.
I looked up seeing dad stainding over us, clenching his fist as he looked at Ruki. Ruki glared at dad, as he nodded in silence. "Subaru" he said, trying to start a fight with him. Dad didn't take anything that he was up to. He glared at Ruki as he looked back down at me, then mom. When he saw mom, his eyes went wide as he sighed. "Get up" he said sternly, as he pulled me of the ground. "Da" I said, but he ended up pulling me into a hug, squeezing me tightly in his arms, not letting go. "Dad?" I said in curiosity, as he continued to keep a hold on me. He didn't let go at first, just kept his grip on me. He shifted as he took a deep breath, and spoke with hatred in his voice. "I should kill you Ruki" dad growled at him, with a loud booming yell. The vampire named Ruki looked at dad, then at me. I whipped around dad so that I was behind him, as I started to back up in fear. I ended up tripping over a tree branch as I fell backwards. I bumped into a figure behind me, as a pair of hands rested on my sholders. "Wow little girl. You got to calm down a bit" a voice said, as I looked back, seeing Uncle Ayato standing right behind me. I turned more to face him as he sighed. "You ok?" he asked looking worried but it changed to shocked when he noticed my mom. "Yui?" he asked, as she nodded. Dad whipped around to look at Uncle Ayato as he yelled. "Ayato, get Yui and Rowen out of here and back home" he yelled as he turned to face Ruki. Uncle Ayato nodded as he grabbed me with one wrist and mom with the other as we left.
A hour later we made it back home safe and sound. It was just me, mom, Uncle Ayato and Uncle Laito joined us a little bit later. I was in the living room pacing back and forth. Uncle Ayato was conforting my mom on the couch in the back of the room, and Uncle Laito was watching me pase in the chair near me. I continued walking back and forth, thinking of dad and how he wasn't back yet. "What if dad kills someone and not just threaten them?" I asked myself out loud, but didn't realize it was out loud. I continued this until I heard a voice stop me. "Rowen, everythig is going to be alright, just think positive" Uncle Laito spoke, as he continued to watch me pase back and forth. I turned to him, as I spoke a little louder than I normally do. "What if it doesn't go well, and he get's hurt. Or worse, get's killed" I said as I paced back and forth some more. Unle Ayato got up as he cleared his voice. "Rowen don't talk like taht, they're going to come back. Just think positive" he said, as he got up from his spot next to my mom and walked over to me. "But what if he" I started to say but he pulled me into his arms and hugged me ccloser to him. "Does this make you feel better?" he asked as his hug became a tight squeeze. My breath became heavy as I settled my face into his chest, and cried a bit."He's going to die, I just know it" I said, as I started to sob a little more. I felt Uncle Ayato bend down towards me as his arms tightened around my body, and he kept me in the hug. I felt his arm move up and down my back as I cried. "Don't think like that. Be positive about this. You just got to remember, a half pre vamp like the Mukami's can't hurt a pureblood like us" he said, as I pulled back from him. "Your right. Sorry" I said as another tear drip down my face.
I turned to go up the staircase as the front door opened. I looked around as Uncle Reiji and Uncle Shu came into the room in silence, looking a little agravated. Shortly after, dad came into the house, as he huffed and shut the door. My face brightened as I ran down and gave him a hug. He jolted in surprize as he looked down at me. "Well someone missed me" he said as he gave me a hug in return. I felt the tears starting to pour down my cheek, as I started to sob a bit. "They didn't kill you" I said with a few more sobs. Dad sighed, as he spoke. "No. Half pre vamps can't kill me" he said, as I looked up at him. "Told you" Uncle Ayato said as he stood on the other side of us, his hands on his sides, as he watched us. I smiled, as I just ignored the comment, and looked back at dad. Dad huffed before he spoke. "Did they hurt you at all?" he asked as he gave a confused look on his face. I shook my head as I spoke back. "No, i'm fine dad" I said as I stood back, and looked the other way. Dad turned his head as he saw mom and his eyes widdened. "Yui?" he said aloud in shock, as he just watched her. Mom smiled as she walked up to dad, cracking a smile on her face. "Subaru" she said, with a single tear going down her face. Dad hugged her without another word, holding her tightly against him as he started to cry even more. Mom ended up wrapping herself around dad, as she started crying as well.
I started tearing up even more, but I didn't wantto cry in front of anyone. I tuned around as I slowley walked up stairs and into my dad's room. I shut the door, as I pulled out a notebook and started to draw in it, just to take my mind off it. I started drawing a picture of both dad mom, and then finally me with a big heart aroudn it. I smiled at the picture as I looked out the window in thought. "The family's back together" I thought, as I flipped the notebok over and started to look out the window. I sat on the bed as I curled up and looked out in front of the mantion. A little knock came on the front of the door, as it cracked open. "Hey baby, can I come in?" dad said as he opened up the door a little better. I nodded as I looked back out the window, watching the leaves blowing in the wind. Dad walked over and sat on the bed next to me, as he sighed. "Something wrong, Rowen?" he asked, as he gave me his full attention. I shook my head as I lied on the bed, feelign tired from everything. "No, just need to sleep a little bit" I said, with a big yawn. Dad nodded as he spoke. "Anything you need to talk about?" he asked, sounding scared about that fact. I shook my head as I snuggled into the pillow. "I'm going to get some rest" I said, as I fell aleep. I heard shifting in the room as dad bent over, and gave me a hug. Then he got up and left the room, letting me fall into a good deep sleep. Right there I knew that we're all going to be ok, and there was nothing more that I needed to worry about. And with that thought, I fell into a deep restful sleep.
