Freezing Fangs

A/N: The image above is Fimbulvetr. Just imagine it in a blue colour. Yes, the ice that Van has is at least Blue Ice level. It's that hard. Also I challenged myself again. Hah. You lucky people. This is like my 5th try writing action, so please give me tips to improve. Please comment, I would like to see your thoughts on the story.

I'm iceskating to Vale. What a wonderful day to be iceskating on the ground. My Semblance is strong enough to allow me to iceskate everywhere. Though I sometimes feel that it isn't really my semblance. I remember that I supposedly unlocked it when mom died. But it feels as if...mom is looking over me. I should be grateful to feel this. And I am.
I finally arrive at Vale and I walk inside the same coffee shop I met Neo in. It was pretty good, until I noticed that the door was freezing over. At that point I realized I forgot Fimbulvetr.
"SHIT! FIMBULVETR!" I screamed as I iceskated to my home as fast as I can. It was more of me grinding on ice rails than iceskating but whatever. I slide down my giant Ice Slide to my home and immediately took Fimbulvetr. I put it on my waist, making sure that it was on me. Gah, that was bad. I even froze the trees on my way here...

I'm finally back in Vale. Time to explore the place. I first go get vanilla ice cream from the coffee shop and break the ice.
"Time to head out," I say as I drink my hot cocoa. But it was cold the moment it touched me. Whatever. Maybe I can find some filthy fangs robbing places and interrogate them. Oh, there's one right now. Fangs and a girl wearing a red hood jump out of a store and start fighting. I should help her. I rush over there using my pillars to jump and reach the fight. At this point I have already pulled out Fimbulvetr. The girl was knocked back due to a guy's attack. I grabbed her.
"Hey, you okay?"
"I-I'm fine, are you here to help?" She says, while I nod at her. We both separate into two directions and handle some peons each.
"Hey, who the hell is this guy?"
"I don't know Damas but shouldn't you be using your time lord powers to stop him?"
"I told you that was a joke."
While they're busy conversing, I slash them several times with Fimbulvetr and start making sure that Fimbulvetr is in contact with one of them. Or near them. They fight back incompetently.
"Gah, that's cold...Brrrrrr."
"Geez, what're you a pussy? Oh wait. You are. Well, it can't be that cold." The guy named Damas starts touching the other guy. On the shoulder. The other guy was pretty much an ice sculpture by then. Meanwhile I am silent, the whole time, why couldn't I have gotten competent peons? The girl got competent peons.
"Oi, what're you doing here anyway?"
"Stabbing you," I cooly reply as I stab him.
"YOU EGG! I NEEDED THAT HAND!!! I USE IT TO..."
"We don't need to know the details," I start freezing him, until his head is all that's left unfrozen. I didn't actually kill the other guy, I just encased him with ice. I pull out the Arrow and show it to him.
"Do you recognize this arrow?" I ask of him. He seems confused, perplexed, I guess he doesn't know anything about the arrow. Still his friend said he had time lord powers, I wonder if he actually has those...nah.
"N-no..."
"Then you are useless to me, now...FREEZE INTO AN ICE SCULPTURE!!" He gets encased in ice. I don't even feel that tired. I look up to see a guy escape in a helicopter.
"You'll forever remember this day as the day you almost caught CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW!!"
Take 2
"You'll forever remember this day as the day you almost caught....nevermind, I'm not going to say my name like a stupid idiot." He keeps muttering something about useless peons and tries to leave. I see the girl sighing as the guy leaves. I then choose at that point to release the ice in Fimbulvetr.
"GAH THAT'S COLD!" He shouts as he actually leaves. Weird, it didn't freeze the helicopter. Well Fimbulvetr did only absorb an hour of energy...
"Thanks for helping me out there..."
"Van. My name is Van."
"Thanks Van, I'm Ruby." Now that I take a closer look to her, Ruby looks about 15. I can hear clapping in the distance.
"Good job on subduing the peons." I look behind me only to see Daftpin still clapping.
"Good job, Van and..."
"Ruby Rose, Headmaster Ozpin." She says her full name and addresses Daftpin as Headmaster. Is she joining Beacon? She's 2 years too young though.
"Well, good job Ruby. I saw the whole fight and I saw that you could perhaps be a great Huntress one day. That is why...I'm inviting you to Beacon 2 years early." Daftpin just invited a 15 year old to Beacon.
Ruby just stands there, shocked. She probably never expected that she would be invited to Beacon 2 years early.
"Well, congrats Ruby." She still stands there shocked.
"Goodbye now, Van and Ruby, I predict the two of you will be great leaders in Beacon." With these as his final words, Daftpin leaves.
"I-I NEED TO TELL YANG ABOUT THIS RIGHT AWAY!!!" Ruby suddenly shouts into the air,"oh and thanks Van." She adds, calming down a bit.
"You're welcome Ruby," I tell her with a smile on my face," I have nowhere to go, I could come with you, I guess."
"Sure, now hold on Van or can you keep up?" Ruby smirks with glee.
"Just bring me along."
I don't feel like grinding there. I did see her fight a bit. She was wielding a scythe and moved too fast for me to see. So if she moves with that speed, I won't be able to catch up with her.
"Did you see my fight?" I ask. It'll make explaining some things easier.
"Yeah, you were pretty cool there, Van, you froze them into sculptures! Was that your weapon or you?" She looks at Fimbulvetr with excitement on her face.
"It was me, it's my Semblance as you can guess. Now the thing is, my Semblance is automatic so if I touch someone directly, if the person isn't using Aura, they slowly freeze. The reason the peons froze fast earlier is, because I controlled the ice to freeze faster." She looks disappointed, is this about Fimbulvetr?
"Okay then...Hang on." I hang onto her shoulders," Here we go!"
She goes really fast and just runs past everything and reaches her house in record time. I fall down onto the ground, tumbling forward until I reach the door of her house.
"Rubes, is that you?" I hear a female voice call out. It must be Ruby's something, Yang. She mentioned something about telling this Yang person the news. Suddenly  the door opens and I see a girl with long, blonde hair looking at me.
"Yang, I-I,"
"So you brought a boy home Rubes, never expected you to be this...fast."
"YANG!" Ruby shouts at her sister. Wait that was a pun. I hope that was accidental.
"I'm just joking around Rubes, don't be so yangry." OH MY FUCKING OUM SHE JUST MADE A PUN. IT'S SO FUCKING BAD TOO. SHE LITERALLY JUST ADDED A Y TO ANGRY TO MAKE IT FIT HER FUCKING NAME!!!
"FUCK!" I scream as I roll around in pain from the pun.
"Look Yang, you just made Van upset,"Ruby says while pointing to me.
"Looks like I did, hey, do you need help getting up?" Yang extends a hand to me, but I then stand up on my own.
"Yang, I-I got accepted into Beacon 2 years early..." Ruby and Yang look happy. Yang was positively glowing with happiness.
"Rubes...I'm so proud of you." Yang runs to Ruby and hugs her tight. I think I can hear them crying. What did I come here for?
"Yang, is Ruby there?" The voice sounds like a male voice this time, but older.
"Yeah dad, we're coming back in." She and Ruby walk back into the house and shut the door. Was I...was I just...ignored...entirely? I feel so...empty... I guess I'll just continue building my house. Alone. Without anyone to talk to...
Third Person Pov
"Dad, guess what. I GOT ACCEPTED TO BEACON ACADEMY TWO YEARS EARLY!!!" Ruby screams to her father, Taiyang.
"Did you really?" He asks to his lovely daughter.
"Yeah! I met Headmaster Ozpin today after trying to stop a robbery and he invited me in." Ruby looked extremely happy as she said this.
"Congratulations, let's throw a party tomorrow for your success!" Taiyang says, smiling, he knew just what to buy as a present. Cookies.
"Oh, and dad," Yang cuts in," Rubes brought a guy home." She snickers while waiting for Taiyang's reply.
"Did she now?" Taiyang looked at Ruby with a look that said: You're not getting any cookies tomorrow young lady until you tell me who this guy is.
"Oh, he was just someone I met while stopping the robbery. He didn't have anything to do, so he asked if I could bring him here. He should be outside..." Ruby looked outside and saw no one.
"Where did he go?"

Van's Pov
I have literally just finished my expansion. I now have a second floor and I've even gotten a kitchen, Daftpin already sent me some appliances when I got back, so it was cool. Pun unintended.
"ROAAAAAAARRRRR!!!" Is that a...Beowolf? Looks like I found dinner.
I walk out and pull out Fimbulvetr to cut this monster up. I'll try not to use Aura in this one. The Beowolf rushes at me, eager for a meal. I dodge to the right, stabbing into it's stomach. I didn't expect for the Grimm to kick me in the face. The Aura taken from that will take a long time to recover. While I have a very powerful Semblance, I have an absolutely abysmal Aura regen rate. I can barely recover any Aura every hour.
I fall to the ground. The Beowolf jumps at me, unaware of it's mistake. Ice spikes suddenly jut out of it's stomach. Easy win. Time to cook this thing. I try to start up a fire but it doesn't seem it'll work. I look back at the corpse and...it's gone. The body just plain disappeared. Shit. I was supposed to keep it alive and slowly carve the flesh out of it. I forgot that Grimm bodies disappear when you kill them. Welp, I'll eat at a restaurant in Vale. Sounds good.
