Initiation

A/N: Hey guys. It's me Miles. Not going to do a rendition, so here have this normal ass opening. No, you're not actually going to get the opening above... but it is going to be the entire initiation. It's almost double the size of the other chapters, woah. Thanks once again Quezan and TheDeadMeta1 and HighLordLoli seriously thanks. You actually do something. Yay! On a side note, my friends and I saw the first episode of that babysitter anime. It was wholesome. Anyway enough of the rambling. So... Makoto.
"Hey... Rwby belongs to Rooster Teeth and Monty Pyth- I mean Monty Oum, also the OCs all belong themself. Maybe not Mile and I though... we belong to each other~"
That was less fun than I thought. I thought Makoto would do a better job. Whatever, go!

"Wakey wakey Freezer!" AM...
"Yeesh how early did you wake up?"
"It's 7. You have one hour to change to change and the other to eat cafeteria food. Ozpin expects us to be at Beacon Cliff at 9."
"Thanks AM." I run off to go change into my clothes. I grab my clothes that I've set up next to my spot, except for the white hooded cloak. I run to the shower room and take a very fast shower.
"YOU GAY!"
"YOU BIG GAY!"
"YOU EXPAND DONG GAY!"

"BLOCK ATTACK!"

"Why the hell are they shouting in the shower room?" I mutter to myself as I run out in my changed clothes. My changed clothes are in fact my battle clothes. I have comfortable black shoes, comfortable white pants with holsters for Dust Crystals. A comfortable white shirt that has a holster for the sheath of Fimbulvetr and another holster on the other side for Elcharge. And that's around it. I run back to the ballroom only to find it very occupied. Seriously a lot of people are still asleep. Some of the only ones who aren't asleep are mine and Blanc's groups. I have to put on my contact lenses now. I walk to my spot and start cleaning up, ready to put it all into the locker. Now...where is my contact lenses case...
"Huh? It's not here? I could've sworn I put the case here." I've already packed up anything except for the white hooded cloak. I guess it's gone now. Meh, I've never liked it. I don't even have seeing problems. But my dad gave it to me for a reason...and it's still a memento of dad. Though I could consider Elcharge another memento. After all, it was created using dad's research notes. Whatever, I can enjoy my Silver Eyes. VISION! Oh my Oum, my Eyes feel so free... oh, I should put on mom's cloak.
"Hey Van, wanna eat now or explore...? Did you alway have Silver Eyes?"
"Yeah... I always use contact lenses, but today I lost them. It's fine though."
"Well, if you're fine, then let's eat!" Mile pulls me along, rushing to the cafeteria.
"The meat from last night is still here..." Mile drools over the meat. Seriously? Is it that good?
"Mile? Let's get food first then talk at a table." And he already left to get food. Man, that guy must really like food. I get a healthy meal, but not much. Stuff like the meat, some toast, cereal that is not Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes, and some milk to drink. I sit down on a table somewhere and wait for some people, while eating.
"I got my food." Mile says as he begins to eat it.
"...I'll sit here."
"Dibs to the seat next to Mile!" And the group is together.
"Hey! So it's Van! Look Rubes, 50% of your friend list!" That's mean Yang.
"Yaaaaaannngggggg...." Ruby walks next to Yang carrying a whole tray of cookies. Yang sits down next to Mile, with Ruby sitting opposite of her, sitting next to me. Phoenix is sitting next to me, on my other side, while AM is the same with Mile.
"Hey, look at you twinning~" Twinning? Ruby and I look at each other. We are in fact twinning. We both have Silver Eyes and a hooded cloak.
"When did you have Silver Eyes Van?" Now I have to explain my Silver Eyes to everybody. This is going to be a reoccurring thing is it?
"You know I never noticed that..." says AM as Phoenix looks at me with a questioning face.
"Contact lenses. I've been using contact lenses for most of my life...I've mostly used it everyday...I've recently lost my contact lenses so I'm showing my true eye colour now. It's Silver, just like Ruby's." I finish quick as I want to eat my food. They all look at me with belief and go back to being their regular old self. Several other people walk here too. 6 people in fact. Blanc, Hēisè, Nila, Acha, Pyrrha and...some blond guy.
"Hey guys!" I say to them. All of them say a greeting back. There's nothing really interesting for the rest of breakfast.
"Okay guys, I've got to leave. Got to prepare more you know?" Nobody hears me... I am lost in thoughts all alone. With only my mom's favorite cloak and my shit. I guess I'll leave for the Cliff.
"No one's out... Perfect." All I need to do is wait. And practice while I'm there. I might as well put on the hoodie, my mom always loved this cloak. Smells like snow.
"Vanilla...I knew you'd be here..." I see a gray haired man standing before me, setting up...
"Launch pads?" The hell?
"Yes...cute hoodie by the way, do you sell those?"
"No...I'm pretty sure that it was sewed by my mom, so it might be unique in design." Hopefully it is. It's mine and mine alone.
"Ah, I see. You know the initiation is an hour away. What're you going to do in that time?"
"Talk to you I guess, I could help with setting up the launchpads?"
"That would be a great help." I go over and help set up launch pads, once we're done, I look over and Daftpin looks back.
"You've finally stopped using those contact lenses... Good."
"Good?"
"Yes, of course. Your dad gave you those to restrict your powers."
"My...powers?" There are powers other than Semblance and Dust?
"Of course! But I shouldn't tell you about it yet, it would probably impede you in class."
"Very well... But what's your relation to my dad? Or my mom?" That's just the thing. Daftpin knows so much things about me but I don't know anything about him in return.
"Your mother and I were friends, well I was more of a mentor to her. She had... 3 friends. These friends were all different. I particularly remember... one who was my student back when she was younger. Each had their own favorite season. That one was Spring. Can you guess your mother's?"
"Winter..." Mom... Dad... W1N73R MA1D3N?
"Yes. The other two had Summer and Fall of course. Fall... died a few days later... Luckily when she died, she met a nice girl, who had a similar Semblance to her. This girl grew up but was inexperienced. The others, including your mother were already experienced in using their powers. A few days later, she was targeted by some people, she was too inexperienced... The girl came back in a serious condition. She was brought back by an old friend of mine. She has been in the Intensive Care Unit for sometime now..." The attackers definitely targeted my mom next...or before that. Maybe they targeted my mom first. If my theory is correct... then my whole world will be turned upside down.
"And anything else about that?"
"That's all I'm telling you."
"Sooo....what was with the password being W1N73R MA1D3N? Don't you know anything about that?"
"...I don't know. Maybe your dad set it like that because he thought of your mother as a Maiden of Winter... She loved that old story very much you know." She did. Mom... Dad...
"Thanks Ozpin... But how do you know so much about my life anyway?"
"I was your mother's mentor. I said that already. We were close... I even held a mock funeral without her body... say you do know where her body was right?"
"...Yeah. The Snowfield. Right in the center of it. You never scoped the whole place out didn't you?"
"We didn't. We decided to not scope out the place. Thank you Vanilla, I'll go tell my men now. I'll make sure to check for any evidence." He walks away and stands, waiting for the other students taking the initiation. He pulls out his scroll, presumably to tell his men.
"What about an official funeral?"
"An official funeral?"
"Yes... I never held an official funeral for my parents. Besides their bodies are still conserved in ice."
"Great idea Vanilla, we'll be sure to hold the funeral with you in it. Pick the time and place."
"Not this semester. When I've worked up the courage to tell my friends the truth, I'll tell you. Also, I'll lead your team to where when the time comes."
"Hm... That's good. You already have friends, friends you have already considered telling the truth of your life. It's nothing to be ashamed by, your life."
"It really isn't." Ozpin nods and begins to call his men on his scroll. I check on my scroll the time and it's... in 15 minutes. Good, I can practice. I sit on a rock and start focusing my thoughts on Fimbulvetr. Fimbulvetr...you hold so many memories within you. The most precious memories...
I create an Ice Sculpture of it and compare. There's not that much of a difference, but still not life-like. I redo it, fixing the mistakes I saw. It's still not near enough to the real version...
"Again... Again...... Again................... Again.......... Again...... Again...." I focus on all the detail, inside and outside. To do this you need to have amazing visualization skills, I wish I had them. If only I had these skills...
"That's...it?" Huh? From what I saw on the second last try, I got many things wrong and that it lacked a certain feeling. But now...the replica I feel in my hand is a life-like replica... Right this thing is now permanent. Done.
"You've already advanced this far?" Ozpin looks at me, surprised. I don't think he's actually surprised though. It feels like he's faking it...
"Ozpin? I can see through it you know. You did something."
"You did huh? I only gave you a little help... remember the feeling Vanilla. Remember it and hone it."
"..." I look at him with a straight face. The students are coming, led by Ms Goodwitch. I put away the Ice Fimbulvetr. Somewhere, like...Ozpin throws me a sheath.
"Thanks." Ozpin looks satisfied and looks towards the students slowly coming here. I put away the Ice Fimbulvetr into the extra sheath and host it behind my back. It's pointed to the left, so I can draw it with my left arm. Of course I would use the real Fimbulvetr with my dominant hand. I toss Ozpin a mug made out of Ice. Enjoy holding that mug. It's cold, it'll make your coffee cold, you can only drink iced coffee in it. Greatest present in the world.
I jump back down onto the ground and stand next to Ozpin. The students finally arrive.
"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest. Also extra points to the one who helped me set these launch pads up." He points to me and pushes me back into the crowd. Uh, thanks? Ms Goodwitch goes up and starts to speak.
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of "teams." Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today." Today... how is it chosen though? Ozpin goes up and speaks again.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years. Haha, you don't get to pick. Man, this school is run so well. I love being Headmaster." Ozpin goddamnit. I can hear the sighs of the students' realization that they probably won't be able to have the team they want. Except for the fact that all you need to do is land near the person you want to be partners with and make eye contact. Heck, you don't even need to do the first part. Just look for the person you want to join and make eye contact with them, whilst avoiding eye contact with anybody else.
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die. You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will reguard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"
"Yeah, um sir?" A blond guy asks. That's the same blond guy from the breakfast that was with Pyrrha.
"Good! Get in position, because you're going to need it. Also, if you so happen to not be able to use Aura, one how are you in here? Two, you're probably going to die from the fall alone. Good luck!" Ozoin stands back and watches us shoot off. I want to meet... Mile or Phoenix or AM. Too bad we're wildly spread out. Except for Mile and AM probably. Just in case I ready my stance so that I can brace for a long jump.
"Hey, Rubes, Van's got a cuter hoodie than yours!" Yang? I look to my left and it so happens that I am next to Ruby. Both of them look at my hoodie.
"Stop looking at my hoodie..." Yang grins at me and Ruby chuckles a bit. The next launch is Yang. She puts on sunglasses and shouts something. Ruby follows soon after her. Okay...Vanilla it's your turn. I want to leap extra far, farther than all the others here! I get ready and launch off!
"Woah, I'm so high up here..." I look back to find everybody who has launched, are way behind me. Great this is an advantage. I should probably create a platform for me to land on, before long I'll plummet on the ground and probably go splat. I wouldn't because I have skills, but I could. An Ice Platform is easily made below my feet. It's connected to the ground with a single column and has guard rails. Ice may be slippery, but that doesn't mean you can't take precautions.
"HEY! COULD YOU CLEAR A SPOT FOR ME!?" Hmm?
"Mile?"
"Yeah! I thought I had a great idea, using my umbrella to somehow fly up here, but you beat me huh?" I expand the platform towards him and he lands.
"Thanks by the way. Nice to meet you buddy for the next 4 years!" I snort and clap his hand.
"Nice to meet you too buddy. Now, let's gauge for where we need to go..." I look over to any spot really.
"Hey, is that a house over there?"
"No..."
"I swear I see a house, it's made of ice?"
"Just keep looking." Mile grins at me and continues to look.
"Okay...north is in that direction."
"We should go look over there then Mile." He knows where north is without a compass? Okay. I expand the platform to the north.
"SKRRRRRRAAAAAAWWWWWW!!"
"Not another one of those fucks..."
"I know right? Let's kill that one quick." Let's. A fucking Nevermore.
"SKRAAAAAW!!!"
"SKRRRRRRRRRAW!!!!"
"SKRAWWWWWWWW!!!!"
"SSSSSSSSSSKRAW!!!!!!" 4 MORE? GREAT NOW WE NEED TO DEAL WITH 5 NEVERMORES AT ONCE.
"This isn't looking so good anymore Van." Says Mile, while he pulls out an old-styled pistol. It looks really old, I wouldn't be surprised if it dissolved into dust.
"Actual dust bullets load... come on... work... there you go." Actual dust?
"Kill the first one we saw if you can Mile, it was the one who called the others, it's probably the leader."
"Right Van." Mile aims at the first one we saw. And...spins around in a circle, while closing his eyes, and after 10 rotations he shoots up. The birds are closing in.
"What the hell did you do that for?"
"Just wait and see..." The bullet comes around? It just turned around in midair as if it was a homing missile... it shoots toward the first one and keeps chasing it, it's probably thinking that the bullet is a regular old weak bullet. I am too.
"Gotcha!" The bullet pierces right through it's skull... it explodes in a blaze of glory, finally dissolving into nothingness...
"Impractical..."
"Yep, that's the one. Though it's actually called Usage, so please use the real name."
"Well Miles, I think we should shoot down the rest of them..."
"SKRAAAAAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!!" Another one? No, they're calling the rest of the flock.
"Holy fuck, we attracted the lot of them when you killed the leader..." There's like... 24?
"HOLY SHIT THEY'RE DIVEBOMBING THE ICE PLATFORM!?" Fuck!
"JUMP ON THEM WHEN THEY FLY BY!" Mile nods and gets ready to jump. I don't even fortify the platform. They're getting closer, about 5 of them...
"NOW!" I shout as we jump on them. I grab onto one's back. I can ride on that one's back and shoot projectiles at the others.
"MILE CLIMB ON THE BACK AND SHOOT THEM DOWN!" I order him, it might be a little presumptuous to tell my friend what to do, but I feel it's best.
"Gotcha!" Miles shoots one down. I have to shoot them down too. I'll keep to shooting them with ice spikes. The big one near me's trying to hit me off the one I'm on. I block it's attack with an Ice Shield and counter back by freezing it's claws when it touched the Ice Shield. I speed up the freezing and it's entirely frozen. The Nevermore that tried to attack me falls to the ground and shatters upon hitting the ground. Good.
"Hah, this is...WOAH!" The Nevermore Mile's one spins. Wait that means-
"FUCK FUCK FUCK!" SHIT! The Nevermores are spinning. Those fucks. It can't spin for long though, when it stops to rest, I can use Elcharge with a Gravity Crystal.
"FOOKER!" I scream as I freeze it. I don't feel like waiting. It's falling now. Okay... 20% efficiency. 12 seconds to charge up. I shoot the ice in Fimbulvetr as I stab myself. The ice freezes another Nevermore's wing and it falls. That ones's not dead.
"SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT!" It's so close to the ground... Actually I'll just make an ice platform up to where they are. I come up in 5 seconds. Okay... another second and...
"COME AT ME!" The Nevermore near me suddenly drops to the ground, hitting it several times. I repeat it until it dies, same thing to the one with the frozen wing. I levitate myself up and charge at them. I change Fimbulvetr too. Into the crowd. There's like 20 left, including the one's Mile's riding on. No, there's 19 now, he shot another one down. It's the one he's on. I levitate Mile. We gather together with our backs to each other. Well, I gather us together, but whatever.
"You ready Mile?"
"Ready as I'll ever be, but what's with the Gravity Crystal powers?"
"Eh, complimentary weapon that compliments my Semblance, changing it to be another element."
"Sure, why not. Okay send me at them!" Heheheh....
"Okay, here you go... you said that impracticality is key when using your Semblance right?"
"Yeah.... WOAH WOAH WOAH! OH HELL NO! NO NOT LIKE THIS NOT LIKE THIS!" I spin him upside down and start spinning him, sending him to the flock. Enjoy...
"FUCK FUCK FUCK, YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK YOU BIRB FUCK YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU! SHIT!" He takes out 9 fucking birds and then proceeds to tank a divebomb to the face.
"Mile nooo..... Eh, he'll be fine." I think Mile can survive the fall. Probably.
"FUCK YOU!" And he's down there. Probably fighting the bird on the ground without flight. I can't see him so how am I supposed to levitate him? Meh, maybe he'll find the relic on his own.
"Anyway... 10 birds left... well...I guess I can bring them all down into the ground... Or..." AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!
"TAKE THIS YOU PIECES OF SHIT!"
I gravitate them into a ball and smack them into the ground. Multiple times.
"WELL TIME FOR THE FINISHER!!!" I bring them up and gather them together... Now where to shoot them to...
Ruby Pov
There. Done. The Nevermore killed by my Crescent Rose. I stand on top of the cliff I managed to drag the Nevermore up to. Have to put away Crescent Rose... What a beautiful sight... What's that? The ground is rumbling?
"Hey guys! I think we need to get away now!" I dash forward to where everyone is.
"Rubes!"
"Umm, guys I really think we should run..." The shaking is even more intense now...
"...Good idea." Blake runs and jumps to the other side of the bridge. Jaune's team runs away too.
"Hang on guys!" I dash forward and grab Yang, Weiss and Blake on the way. Too heavy... I think I'll fall...
"Haaah!" Yang! She shot downwards and use the momentum to push us upwards?
"Thanks Yang..." I have to push forward. I don't know about this, but it feels like some sleeping giant is going to wake up and fight us..
"REEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
"Deathstalkers!" Weiss screams.
"How many?" I can't look back now..
"About... a whole nest! Run dolt run!"
"I am, Weiss!" Maybe the ice platform near the ruin would be safe. Suddenly I hear a scream... Is anybody back there?
"FUCK YOU BIRDS! HAHA YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD TAKE ME DOWN! YOU FOOLS! Wait holy shit!" Huh? Who's...? Doesn't matter, I have to save my team. Sorry, random person...
"OI!!! YOU FUCKS, TAKE THIS!" I'm nearly there...
"Guys, climb up the platform!"
"Stop trying to give me orders!"
"...Right!"
"You got it Rubes!" We all jump up there using our own ways. Woah...the guy broke the bridge by himself... The Deathstalkers are stuck on the other side of the bridge. None of them try to get over... Wait, where did those two people come from?
Mile Pov
Hahah, Luck is on the side of Mile Sanjay! I managed to survive the crash! The bird even fucking died on the way there! And... that's a whole nest of Deathstalkers. Fuck.
"RUN BITCH RUN!" I scream to myself as a way to placate my hype.
  Oh look, a conveniently almost broken bridge. Well, got to get over...
"Welp, umbrella power!" And on the other side. Well, I should break the bridge now... is this considered guerrilla warfare? Well, I just need to shoot at the supports of the bridge right? I need explosive rounds... Or something big to crash through it... I got it. I pick up several leaves and pack it into my gun. Yes, impractical to the max. Welp time to shoot... Have to load it with Aura... and.. shoot! The bullet... I move back with my gun. The bullet's stuck in midair...
"Makoto... you're finally here..."
"Yes Mile... let's destroy the bridge..."
Phoenix Pov
Somehow I've ended up with Makoto Isbes, or as Vanilla calls her... AM. Short for Aura Monster. We've only just reached the temple we're looking for.
"Which one to pick... I want to have the same one as Mile though... What if he doesn't pick the same one as me?" I'm tired of this...
"... Golden Bishop." I pick that one out. Rumbles huh?
"Hey! I wanted to choose one..."
"You took too long...now what was that rumbling..."  I look towards where the rumbling should be... a blur of red passes by...
"I am, Weiss!" I hear the red blur yell.
"I'm going over to where the rumbling is..." Makoto looks at me.
"I think Mile is there." She brightens up and runs there.
"Can't you bring me with your 'teleportation?' It would be much easier.
"Fine!" She keeps running ahead despite that... I run with her. On the way there I notice something... the leaves falling off the tree. It stopped in midair.
"Time stop?" Must be.
"Yeah. Let's help Mile destroy the bridge!" The bridge?
"Makoto...you finally came..."
"Yes Mile...let's destroy the bridge..."
"I'm here too." I slit my wrist to summon a shadow. Let's see... this one. The two gendered one. It has a blue and normal coloured body. The right side is blue and male, while the left side is normal and female. I'm still confused what that thing is.
"The time stop is almost up..."
"Well, the leaf bullet's going to explode and hit all the supports. So, Phoenix go overkill it if you want."
Go overkill it... might as well. I'll take a moment to concentrate and then shoot it off.
"Shoot it! Cosmic Flare!" The shadow shoots off an explosion of massive proportions aimed at the main bridge itself. Wouldn't want to ruin Mile's shot.
"That's one hell of an explosion." Time resumes. Each of the pillars are destroyed in a split-second. A Deathstalker falls into the water.
"Let's...HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THAT?" A giant black ball of Nevermore's?
Vanilla Pov
Oh look, lots of Deathstalkers. Where did they come from ? I move further forward with my giant ball of Nevermores.
"Hmm..." That is a LOT of Deathstalkers. Yeah, I think throwing it there is good. The bridge is destroyed so there shouldn't be any problem.
"HEAVE HO!" Man, I love gravity powers. The giant ball of birds fly into the Deathstalker swarm.
"LIVE FOR NEVERMORE!!!" The ball explodes and crashes into many of the Deathstalkers. Half of them die. Okay then... I just need to smash them against the ground several times... and done... I am never doing that pun again.
I levitate down to the ground, near some kind of ruin.
"Now, to find Mile..."
"I'm already here... with our team..." Mile and Phoenix holds up Golden Bishop pieces.
"I hope we actually are... well guys, time to go back to the Beacon Cliff. Come with me, I'll levitate you all." Phoenix and AM has a questioning look on their face, so I levitate them along with me and head in the general direction of Beacon Cliff.
"Hey! Hey! Van over here!" Hmm? There's someone waving at me in the corner of my eye. I turn everyone around and look to my right. The ice platform I made to push myself up is still there. It wasn't made too far, just enough to launch me up.
"Make some space please." I land with my team.
"Hey guys! It's your favourite vanilla ice-cream loving guy... Vanilla Einzbern!" I strike a pose and take off my hoodie.
"VANILLA NO!" Mile grabs me and tries to throw me off.
"Oi, You egg!" He successfully pushes me off. I grab onto the platform...oh yeah it's ice. I fly back up.
"Since when can you fly Vanilla?" Yang walks up to me. It seems she broke of from an argument with Weiss. Weiss and Ruby are now the ones arguing. Or something like that.
"Wait...you out of all people know Vanilla?"
"Yes! That's what I'm telling you Weiss." Huh. What about Blake then? I look at her and she stays in the back. She stays out of the conversation.
"How, where?"
"...Well want me to tell you about how I got in Beacon 2 years early? Because Van's in it."
"Nevermind... later after the initiation..."
"Great!" And looks like Weiss and Ruby's 'argument' is over. 
"What Yang?" The others in my group are talking amongst themselves.
"How you can fly? I mean, I fought you when you were drunk. And you didn't have flying powers!"
"I'll explain it after the initiation..." That reminds me... whatever happened to the others? I guess we'll meet them on the Cliff.
"Hey guys! Let's all go back together! I'll bring us there!" And at this moment did I realize... that my 12 minutes were up.
Mile Pov
"Van? You awake there buddy? No? Well shit." Now we don't have a ride back. Great Van great, just collapse randomly won't you? It's probably the side effects of changing his element.
"So guys... Hows about we walk there instead?"
""Wait!"" It was the girl who twinned with Van and Makoto. They look at each other and Makoto cuts in first.
"Mile, we can just use time stop!" The girl looks defeated and refrains from saying anything. Right, we now need someone to carry Van.
"Hey, Van's friend! Could you carry Van with your Semblance thing?" Phoenix looks confused at first. But he accepts it by summoning another kind of thing. It's a 3-headed dog. What.
"Here Phoenix." Phoenix picks up Van and puts him onto the dog's back. He'll probably not fall off...
"So guys, I think we need to go...there?" The twinning girl points to the wrong direction.
"It's there." I point to the right direction.
"Right, there... anyway Van's other friend, could you stop time for us? Thanks." Makoto looks a bit peeved, taking orders from someone other than one of her friends.
"Right..." She does it.
"Okay guys! Last one there's a rotten cookie!" Do cookies even rot? "I guess we have to do it..." I say to the rest of team Vanilla. We all stop and look at each other in the eyes...
"Start!" The twinning girl shouts. We all run towards the correct directions, careful to never lose sight of each other. I take the straightforward route, careful to slow down a bit for Phoenix and Van's collapsed body. Makoto follows me too. The competition should mostly be in between team Ruby.
"Mile, how long do you think it would take us to reach there?"
"A long time, that's for sure. Let's keep going..."

WHAT HAPPENED? Last thing I remember is collapsing again...
"WHAT'S HAPPENING? IS THIS A KIDNAPPING?"
"...No." I see Phoenix just ahead of me running. I seem to be on... a three-headed dog?
"I'll get off now." Phoenix nods and recalls his shadow. I guess we'll just run. Phoenix and I increase the pace and reach Mile and Makoto.
"So you're awake huh?"
"Yeah, let's go there fast." All of them nod and we rush forward. First thing I do when I wake up is run to a cliff. Nice.
"I forgot to mention that we're pretty near the Cliff, just that we need to climb it. You can help us right?"
"Yeah, of course," I say with confidence. A few minutes later and we reach the bottom. And that's my house. And that's team Ruby. And they're rummaging in my house...
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING INSIDE MY HOUSE?" I have to stop them. I can't have them rummaging in my house. They may be my friends but this is too far. I immediately run inside my house to pull them out. First one I see, is Blake sitting on the ice couch and reading a book. Oh, that's Bleach.
"Hey Blake," I say as I run past her. Now which room could Yang be at? She's probably the one that could the most damage. Hmm.... my room probably.
"Hey Yang! Are you in my room? I don't have anything in there you know..." Yang is in my room. I open the door immediately.
"H-hey Van..." Yang's lying on my bed. My bed made of snow...
"Isn't it cold?" She must be cold. Her face is on my ice pillow. Come on.
"Y-yeah... but it feels so good..." Really? I mean come on, you're literally touching cold snow, maybe even some ice.
"Okay then Yang... stay there. Don't mess around with my stuff..." Now... Weiss or Ruby... Weiss could be in my lab... I rush down there. My lab's filled with my other projects. If Weiss messes around with those.... it could blow my house up.
"Interesting stuff here Vanilla..."
"Weiss, don't touch anything, please stay out." I really don't want to rebuild my Ice House.
"You dolt... of course I wouldn't blow up this house. I'm not Ruby. By the way here... I think it would help." Weiss hands me some notes. I'll look into it later. Weiss heads back up and leaves. Next Ruby... she's a weapon fanatic, so she could be in my workshop. My workshop's near my lab...
"Ruby are you messing around with my things?" She is. She's messing around with my claw prototypes. I always work in my workshop and lab at least an hour each day, but that'll change today. She's trying to swing around the claws... oh and she discovered the hidden blades.
"Woah cool! What do these do?" It seems she hasn't noticed me yet...
"Those hidden blades are supposed to surprise the enemy with a Semblance charged attack. It's supposed to be used by me..." I'm just supposed to cover the hidden blades with ice...or other elements...
"O-oh Van... I-I wasn't messing around with your stuff..." She tries to hide the claws behind her back. I grab the claws and pull it out of her hands.
"The claws are supposed to be used by me... like this." I put on the claws and start randomly swinging it. At some point I release the hidden blades that I have covered with ice. Serrated ice. I pull it off and put it on the table.
"Woah... Do you have any more?" Ruby's eyes shine at the prospect of me showing her more weapons. It's too bright...
"Y-yeah... but only one more okay? We need to head up after this." I pull out another thing. It's not a pommel. It automatically makes pommels. I hang this on my back and it also absorbs my Semblance's energy to make pommels. Ice Pommels. I show her the function. I know, I'm a genius.
"P-pommels?"
"Yes, pommels." Ruby wisely backs away and leaves. I guess I should kick out Yang and Blake now. I walk back to my room. I should bring my Pommel Maker. The claws are still in development.
"Yang get out of my house."
"Aaw..." I lead her out.
"Blake, let's go finish the initiation." Blake nods and follows us along. Finally we can finish the initiation.
"Okay everybody let's head up!" I call out to everybody. An ice platform appears below me.
"Right! Let's go guys!"
"...Yes."
"Let's go!"
"We'll talk about this later."
"...Yeah."
"Mile?"
"LET'S GET UP THERE FAST! I WANNA SLEEP!"
"Gather on the platform everyone." The platform's big enough for everyone. Everybody stands up, except for Mile and AM. They let their legs hang of the edge. Whatever fits them I guess. Hehe...
"Up we go..." The ice platform brings us up fast. Everybody looks panicked. I'm used to it. I've even launched myself up there once.
"Guys, let's head back to the main hall..." I say to them all as we stop. Heh.

"Okay... Team... ASSHOLE!!! Wait that's wrong. Team....Cardinal! CRDN. Led by... Cardin! Next!" Ozpin shouts. The teams are finally going to get announced... Team VMPM come on....
"Okay, come up Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie, Pyrrha Nikos and Lie Ren! You 4 have gathered the same chess pieces, your name is... Team Juniper! JNPR. Led by... Jaune! Next!" Jaune looks surprised.
"Come up, Blanc D'elaire, Nila Makarella, Hēisè Lorithisa, and Acha Uhie Uhie! You have collected the same pieces, so you are now Team... BanHammer! BNHA! The leader is... Blanc! Next!"
Hēisè looks satisfied.
"Come up, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiao Long! You 4 have gathered the same pieces! So now you are Team... Ruby! RWBY. Led by... Ruby! Next!" Weiss looks surprised that Ruby would be leader. Whatever. There's only one team left...us.
"Come up, Vanilla Einzbern, Makoto 'Aura Monster' Isbes, Mile Sanjay, and Phoenix Pendragon! You collected the same pieces so you are... Team Vampire! VAMP! Led by... Vanilla! Done!" YES YES YES YES YES YES! I'M THE FUCKING LEADER BITCHES! I raise my sword in the air. I would create some kind of snow effect, but I don't know which kind. So I opt for letters to show the various people in the crowd and their names with the starting letter. A V appears on my head, while a M appears above Mile's, A for AM, and a P for Phoenix. Same happens to everybody I remember in teams. Which is Team JNPR, BNHA, and Team RWBY. Everybody else is irrelevant.
"Okay students! Vanilla get off the stage. Anyway, everybody will go to their dorms and do what you want. Don't vandalize anything or you'll be expelled to the utmost I can. Which is you'll have to go to another kingdom to go to school. Have fun!" After that talk, we finally leave...
"And collapse..."
"No." We walk to our dorm. There are 4 beds, but it's a pretty small room. We've already picked up our stuff on the way.
"I'll share 2 beds with Mile!" Well, that would solve a bit of the problem.
"Mile, just do it. Accept the fact that you have a wife that would do anything for you. So be a good husband for once." AM, well since we are teammates now, I should call her by her real name. So Makoto smiles and hugs Mile's arm. Mile has no way out of this predicament. Mile grits his teeth and goes to move 2 beds to the wall.
"Makoto, you know what to do." She nods and stops time.
"So one half goes to the couple and the other to Phoenix and I...bunk beds. Phoenix, you have no choice." Phoenix moves to make it a bunk bed. Me too.
"Done, Mile and I are done! Now we can sleep together....forever..." Mile looks disturbed and rolls into the bed, dragging the blanket with him.
"Wait for me Mile!" She does so too.
"Done, Phoenix, I'm on top. Also give me that extra sheet." I set that sheet up above me and connect it to the ceiling with Ice. Just the ends. This gives me some cover. So, I can watch some secret videos...
"Good night everyone!" I say to all of them. I think time is still stopped.
"I'll resume time now. Goodnight!"
"...Night."
"Goodnight guys. Makoto stop. Not there, not there, no, no this is illicit. Stop stop. Stop. Okay, I'm fine now. Let's sleep, night!" And the light's gone. Welp, time to watch.. I'll not say anything so nobody gets waken up. Gotta pull out my scroll... Now... lower the volume. Next video is called... a call? It's from Ozpin
"Hey, hey, is this Van?"
"Yeah."
"Great, I got you, now to have a three way call with..." With...?
"Hello Headmaster." Ruby?
"Great, got you too Ruby. He's not talking right now, but Van is here too."
"Hey Ruby."
"Hi."
"Okay, now I've called you both for a special something to tell you."
"What is it?"
"It's about a...special program... for you two only..."
"Why us?" I ask.
"Hmm?"
"Well...I believe you two are a little... inexperienced... Ruby, you were admitted 2 years early and Van, you lived in a snowfield for most of your life. So, I would like to give you two some training."
"...Why? I think I'm fine."

"Okay guys do you want to learn something about your mom? They both had Silver Eyes, they were both powerful. Guess what? You have Silver Eyes, you managed to get here with disadvantages from the other students." The Silver Eye thing again...
"Do you know something about mom? Do you know where she is? I've been looking for her for years!" So, she lost her mom too... At least she might still be alive...
"Sadly no..."
"O-okay..." Ruby sounds sadder now...
"Hey, Ruby?"
"Yes...?"
"I think we should accept this program, you can still learn more about your mom that way right?
"Y-yeah I can..."
"Right! That means you two agree, I'll see you tomorrow night in my office. Good night kids."
"Goodnight."
"..." Ozpin hangs up.
"Ruby? Hang in there. I lived in a snowfield for 7 almost all my life. Alone. Without my parents. You lived with your dad and sister Ruby. You can handle it. After all I've went through worst pains. If you need comfort, you can ask your sister or your dad. Or even me... Remember Ruby you are not alone. Now good night."
"G-good night Van..." I hang up on her. I'm sure she will be fine. I did live through 7 years by myself. Of course I met people, but I was alone. Without any semblance of family. Ruby had family. I didn't. I'm jealous of her... But that's life I guess...
