After Twilight died, we had to break the bad news to the rest of her family and friends. It broke my heart the day of her funeral. For once, I attended her funeral to say goodbye to my love one last time, regardless of exposure. Her six friends, including Sunset, gave tearful and emotional eulogies. Twilight's parents and brother didn't blame me or Sunset or Garrett for her death. But I blamed myself for her death. After her burial, Spike and I stayed by her tombstone.
I'd learned that Garrett had helped bury my family and friends for me. Real generous of him. He knew how much Raph meant to Sunset. One day, Spike and I were still by Twilight's tombstone. Behind me, Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, walked in. I guess he wanted to see how I was doing. He put Twilight's favorite flowers by her tombstone. "How're you holding up?" he asked. "Not well," I admitted, looking down. "I know," said Shining Armor, "Garrett and Sunset are feeling the same way. Garrett's blaming himself for her death..."
"He doesn't deserve to be blamed," I said, looking at Shining Armor in the eyes, "Garrett did do his best. His efforts were in vain, they were beyond his control... if there's anyone whom you and your family should blame, it's me. It was my enemy that caused all this... How are you and Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle not angered with me?" Shining Armor frowned and said, "Leonardo, blaming anyone won't accomplish anything, and it sure won't bring Twilight back... Yes, the pain hurts me and Cadence, and Flurry Heart, and Mom and Dad, and it's never going to go away for a long time, but... life will go on." He was right of course. "I swear this much," I vowed, "I will avenge your sister, Shining Armor. Shredder will pay."
"I don't condone revenge," said Shining Armor, then he smiled and said, "but be my guest. Want me to help you kill that son of a bitch?" I frowned, shaking my head, and said, "No." Shining Armor gave a look of surprise and confusedly asked, "But why? You need all the help you can get. Are you planning on going in there John Wick style??" Much as I liked his reference, I said honestly, "Well, I do feel like I need to do this on my own. And I have other reasons. One, I'm better trained. Two, you're not trained in the art of the ninja. Three, going with me is a suicide mission, and I don't want to be the cause of your demise, it sure won't win me any favors with your folks. And four, you have a wife and daughter that need you right now, more than ever. You can't leave them." Shining Armor sighed and said, "Much as I hate to admit it... you're right Leo. But you need someone who'll help you AND keep an eye on Spike." I thought for a moment and said, "I think I know someone who might help." Shining Armor smiled, patted me on the back, and said, "Good luck, brother."
