I hate author notes so let's get straight to the story. Hope you enjoy. My character actress is Ryan Newman.

It isn't unusual for us to walk in silence, well for Edward and I anyway. Especially in the lunch room because he knows I love to hear the gossip. Nothing exciting happens in my life anymore, and although most of the gossip isn't that great, I don't have much else to do. Edward and I are not the chattiest. Well, he isn't.

I hear Jessica talking as always, she never is quiet so it is not that unusual either. Edward chuckles, despite me not saying anything aloud. Unlike the rest of these children, I am actually a teenager. I was only changed around a year ago. The youngest Cullen of the clan. They never stop teasing me about it either.

"Well it might get old after a few centuries." Edward says, responding to my thoughts as we sit down and he smirks. I roll my eyes, deciding to ignore his reply to what should be my private thoughts. Instead I focus on Jessica. She tends to talk about us occasionally, which is mildly interesting but this time is different. There's a new girl with her.

"They're all really weird. I don't think i've seen them socialize with anyone. Besides Katherine, she only started hanging out with them this year, after leaving for like months and this summer. Edward and her are liked glued together but no one knows if they're dating. Her family died in some freak hiking accident, she's the only survivor. Her family got mauled by bears or something up in the mountains." That's my cue to stop listening, it's obvious she knows better than to actually approach us to introduce us to someone but not enough to have some decency.

She can be quite an insensitive bitch. I used to be okay with her too, not best friends but I didn't despise her until I found out how she talks about me when I'm not there. Right now, I just want to rip into her and see if she can still talk with her vocal cords out.

Edward gives me a look. I'm still trying to get the whole feeding thing under control. Carlisle kept me home or in Alaska for months before I returned to school. I started this year fresh, not talking to my old friends is hard, but I can't be around them without wanting to suck the life out of them so, I guess i'm stuck with these losers.

Edward chuckles again, knowing I purposely said losers because he knows I know he's listening and can't keep his nose to himself. Besides, I keep their egos in check, since Edward tells them everything. He laughs a lot out of nowhere and then someone usually makes him explain.

But he also knows I owe them all my life. I return to the conversation at our table, "Katherine. Are we still going this weekend?" Alice 'subtlety' distracts me and I nod before leaning my head on my hand and just listen to the other people around the room and close my eyes as I pretend to rest.

A/N. As I write my own book, I want to say these books gave me practice I desperately needed when I was a teenager. However, they now make me cringe at all the grammatical errors. I'm trying to fix them so please be patient. But thanks to whoever is reading this in 2023, I still get many notifications on this which amazes me. I wrote this when I was 16? I think. Thanks guys for still being interested I guess. ~

A week later all the biology classes go on a field trip and Edward seems to make friends with Bella. Especially since he recently saved her from the van that almost crushed her from the ice in the parking lot at school.

He stays with the human and I stick with Alice and Jasper. She is one of the only people to help me maintain my streak of a year and 4 months without human blood. As we approach the busses, we find Edward and Bella stand next to the one we came in on. Surprising since she came in on the other one, something I can't tell if Edward liked or hated.
