I stood next to Jasper right as Alice dragged Bella to the top of the stairway. Carlisle and Esme met her at the bottom of the higher staircase and apologized, "I'm sorry about all of this. I tried to reign Alice in.".
Esme gave her a hug as she murmured, "If that were even possible.". Alice made her way next to Jasper and Rosalie and Emmett stepped up next to congratulate Bella. Alice began to take a picture and the flash went off. Bella turned to her.
Alice seemed a bit sheepish as she explained "I found it in your bag-" and pointed behind her, "-you mind?". I step closer to the group.

Bella shook her head gesturing that it was okay as Emmett teased Edward "Dating an older woman. Hot.". But he seemed to be serious because when Edward gave him a look he, in confusion asked "What?". Emmett was odd.
Alice lightly tapped Rosalie, handing her a box. "Here. Have this. Alice picked it out." Rosalie said, slightly warmer than her usual icy cold tone.
"Thanks." Bella murmured and Rosalie turned away. Alice came prancing forward as she dragged Edward next to Bella. She let him go and stood back with the camera.
"Show me the love." She giggled, Edward smiled into Bella's hair. He seemed happy. Alice danced over to the table where she got a box with a ribbon on it. "This one's from Emmett." She had a happy tone in her voice. Obviously enjoying herself. Afterall we don't really celebrate birthdays.
Bella shook it a bit, it was silent so she looked at Emmett who grinned, very proud of himself. "Already installed it in your truck." he shook happily a bit as he bragged, "Finally a decent sound system for that piece of cr-" but Bella cut him off.
"Hey don't hate on the truck." she told him but she was smiling, obviously teasing him in her own way. He continued to smile and Edward chuckled quietly. He was glad to see his family and girlfriend getting along. Everyone but Rosalie. Rosalie still doesn't get along with me half the time.
Alice jumped back in, taking the empty box from Bella and handing her a smaller box ordering Bella, "Open Esme's and Carlisle's." before going back to the gift table, where I now set my box so Alice could give it to her.
