"What?" Edward asks but I had the feeling he knew the answer because soon he walked away and Bella stayed sitting.

The next day was the first day of playing guard. Bella had worked it out so we would take it until the wolves showed up, then we would hunt. I was paired with Edward. He would also watch Bella during the day, but when he couldn't watch her during the day, he handed her over to the one person he hated the most. Jacob Black.
I had never met him but he got on my nerves. He had no right to go after my brother's girlfriend.

We stayed like this for a few days, but finally on Saturday we were watching the news. Seattle had gotten worse. I sat between Jasper and Carlisle on the couch. Edward and Bella walked in as Carlisle turned it off as they talked about a serial killer. "It's gotten worse. We're gonna have to do something." he said as he set the remote down.
"There's more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting. Quite a few more." Jasper told us, looking at Bella and Edward gravely before he continued, "They're undisciplined, conspicuous." and I looked down at my hands.
"Newborns." Edward said as he looked at me, right as I looked up. He had figured it out.
Soon everyone's but Bella's eyes were on me. "What? Like new vampires?" she questioned and then looked at me, figuring it out as well. I nodded, confirming what she thought.
"The first few months after the change." Edward explained and all eyes went on him, filling me with a bit of relief.
"When we're at our most uncontrollable." Jasper added and I know he was messing with my emotions as I felt a wave of calm go over me. "Vicious, and insane with thirst." he added and I glanced at Jasper, he hated newborns. He hated me at first.
"Something to look forward." Emmett smirked, rubbing his hands together excitedly. Jasper gave him a look, Emmett always looked forward to a fight.
"Emmett you barely won against me. How are you going to go against more than one of them." I give him a blank look as I talked. He rolled his eyes at me.
"That's because Jasper helped you after he like got over with hating you." he retorted and Jasper gave a small smile.
"Don't make excuses." Jasper took my side as he teased Emmett. Emmett glared at us, playfully of course. I don't think he's ever really mad at anyone.
"Katherine was a newborn?" Bella asked, apparently not knowing and I nodded, I was almost two years old as a vampire.
"I was changed two years ago after Esme found me at a car crash. The pack allowed me to be changed, otherwise I would have spent a year in a coma." I explained remembering how Esme had begged them.
"No one has trained these newborns but this isn't random." Jasper got back to the point and I look at Jasper, something was off.
"Someone's creating an army." Carlisle concluded and I look at him a bit surprised. Who would want a newborn army near Forks.
Emmett got up excitedly, ready to fight as he swung his arms as he declared "Well now we're definitely going to Seattle." and I rolled my eyes at his childish ways.
"An army of vampires?" Bella said in disbelief and she raised her eyebrows. I stood up, uncomfortable with the idea of fighting newborns, who haven't' figured out their powers, not knowing how many there are.
"They've been created to fight someone." Jasper warned her and I knew we were the only clan near Seattle. Vampires like to spread out.
"We're the only clan near Seattle." Edward said and thousands of thoughts ran through my head.
"Well time to move. Bella go ahead and pack because i'm not having a Volturi fight round 2." I warned and she just stayed silent. Everyone knew I wasn't serious, though I wish I was.
"If we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will. I'm surprised they let it go on this long." Carlisle said, his eyebrows scrunched together in stress and thought.
"Maybe they're behind it." Edward input and I groan quietly, not everything bad is the Volturi's doing.
I look at Edward and snap "The Volturi wouldn't make an army to wipe us out when they could do it themselves. Caius would do it himself if Aro allowed him. Aro finds out gifts too valuable or else you wouldn't have tried to show humanity what you hate about yourself." I snap and Edward glared at me. But I didn't care, he was being an idiot.
"Katherine." Carlisle settled me down but I was seething. He doesn't get to go on and on about hating himself, then refuse to turn the one person he is happy with and make everything about protecting her when he is willing to let her die one day anyway.
"He doesn't want to turn her anyway so what's the point in protecting her. He hates himself either way so why don't we just let them do what they want, blaming everyone but themselves." I say before I leave the room, annoyed by Edward and his idiotic choices. I brush past Edward, and everyone was silent as I left.
I heard them continuing talking about it but I ignored it as I went to my room. I did laundry, read, taking my mind off of everything.
