chapter three

Rebecca's POV
Today I just threw on lazy clothes with my serpents jacket around my waist. I decided to take my truck instead of my bike. It's a Friday and on Fridays I'm lazy.

I get to school and I swear Cheryl waiting for me at the doors. Parking my truck and slamming the door shut I lock it and grab my bag from the bed of my truck and walk to Cheryl.

"Becca" She says as she pulls me into a hug. I give her a quick hug back and pull away. "I hope you are ready for after school today" She says "I am trust me" I tell her giving a smirk.

"Ooo we have a confident little thing here don't we" Mantle says as he walks up to me. Cheryl walks away giving me a look. "I'm not little I'm 5'8 stupid" I say glaring at him. (Oh by the way Ross Butler is Reggie)

"Yeah but I'm 6'3" He says smirking. "I wish I could punch that smirk off your face" I say and his smirk gets wider. "If you can even reach my face" He says and I start getting irritated.

"What's it gonna take for you to leave me alone" I ask him and he raises a brow "one date" He says and i sigh. "Done but I swear Reggie this is the only time" I threaten him and he puts his hands up in surrender.

"Tonight" He says making me shake my head "I have cheer try outs" I tell him. "Gonna be my cheerleader huh?" He says "never mantle never" I say giving off a small laugh. "Ha I got you to laugh" He says making me shake my head and start walking away.

"Hey wait!" He says as he walks with me. "Reggie I agreed to go on one date with you ok so shoo" I say and open my locker. He leans on the locker next to mine. "Come on hot stuff relax" He says and I shut my locker leaning on it.

"Really Reggie" I say and he nods. "Yep" He smirks. "One day I'm gonna hit that stupid smirk off your face" I say irritated "mean" He says and I roll my eyes. "What are you four?" I ask "no" He says "then stop acting like it" I say and walk away.

"Don't even follow me or I'll hurt you and I'm being serious" I say making him stay where I left him.

~flash back~
"Don't even follow me or I'm going to hurt you and I'm being serious" I warn the kid that keeps trying to talk to me. "I just want to be your friend" He says and I frown. "I don't want friends now leave me alone" I say as I walk off.

The kid grabs my wrist "I'm not giving up" He says and I sigh "whatever just don't annoy me ok" I say and he nods smiling. "I'm Mitch and you are?" "Rebecca" Mitch nods.

"Well Rebecca we will be great friends" He says "I highly doubt it" I say and he just smiles. Boy was I wrong....

~flash back ends~
I met Mitch in sixth grade and I threatened him to leave me along but he never gave up I finally gave up after two weeks of him trying to be my friend. I told him we were never gonna be close.

We became best friends and during our sophomore year he died and I gave up with everything.

~flash back~
Mitch and I are exploring the forest. I'm wearing my serpent jacket and he's wearing his normal blue sweatshirt. "You are never gonna catch me" I say smiling as I run away from him. He smiles back "yes I will!" He shouts chasing me.

We ran and ran until we started walking back home someone appeared and they had a gun. "What do you want from us?" I Immediately ask pulling Mitch behind me. The masked person doesn't say anything just aims the gun at me.

I froze as the person pulls the trigger and runs off. I shut my eyes waiting for it to hit me but all I'm met was the ground. I open my eyes to see Mitch on the ground holding his stomach.

I scramble to run towards him "oh god no Mitch!!" I yell as I pull his head onto my lap. "Please Mitch" I say as he slowly opens his eyes. "Hey hot stuff whatcha doing" He says smiling. "Don't smile like your ok Mitch" I say "princess I'll be fine" He says but coughs up blood. I pull out my phone and call 911 "911 what's your emergency" "Help me my friend was just shot!!" "Ok ma'am were I your location" "I'm outside of the forest on the road that's barely ever used" "Ok we are sending people now"
