Liam started today. I had his first job be bringing in my new stallion. He's a well built gray quarter horse named Streak of Blue. He was a pretty good race horse six years ago. I was worried that he might be a handful but according to Liam he was more interested in sleeping then anything else. I think I can understand that. What I wouldn't give for a good nights sleep one of these days. Liam seems like a sweet guy. He doesn't talk much but I think he's complemented me twice and he's only been here for a few hours. He's good with the horses though and seems to respect me which is a new thing as of late.
The Johnson's, especially Zach, have been insufferable with their campaign against me. Apparently they are now trying to convince people I'm a witch of all things. You'd have thought we were in 17th century Massachusetts the way they were carrying on. Thankfully the town hadn't seem to catch on yet otherwise I might have found myself run out on a rail when I came in for groceries.
Flicka allowed me to put my weight on her back today without any fuss! She's really coming along she leads just about anywhere and is being really good with all her desensitization even the scary tarp. Tomorrow I might try and get on her. Rocket is doing better. I've gotten a few good join ups with her, but she still freaks out when I try to put a halter on her. She's obviously going to take awhile. I need to figure out what's causing her melt downs. She allows me to touch her head and ears but the minute a halter gets close she loses her mind. If I didn't know she was a mustang I'd say she had been abused.
I really miss my family. I can't believe they are all gone. With all that's been going on I could really use Dad being here. He always supported me in the horses even when no one else would. This chapter is dedicated to XxEquestrian2001xX for allowing me to use her horse Streaker in my story.
