chapter 29

Jordan's POV****

I yawn and blink open my eyes looking around the room. The sun was shining through the window, which brightened the room. "Good morning" Ty whispers in my ear making me jump. "Oh my jeez! I forgot you were here" I say laughing. A faint knock sound comes from the door as a nurse walks in.

"Good morning Tyler. I'll get your papers together so you can be out of here later tonight" the nurse says smiling before exiting the room. Ty nods then looks at me smiling. "What?" I ask smiling back at him. "Nothing I just really want to go home. I miss not being with you" Ty says making me laugh. "I don't blame you. This place creeps me out" I say laughing with him before standing up. "Well I better get home before Jerome realizes his car is gone and has a heart attack" I say yawning again. "Okay I'll see you in a little bit" Ty says smiling. I give him a quick kiss before returning to the hallway and out to the parking lot.

~TIME SKIP TO WHEN SHE GETS HOME~

I pull into the driveway and hop out of the car walking slowly up to the house before letting myself in. Everyone was still crashed on the floor making me laugh quietly. I set Jerome's keys on the counter and walk upstairs to Katerine's room. I walk in and turn on the light walking to her closet. I pull out the dress and walk to the mirror holding it up in front of me. Closing my eyes, I try to picture the wedding that was only a few weeks away.

"Wow" someone muttered from the doorway making me jump. Adam stands there staring at the dress as I hold it up to myself. "Your going to look so beautiful" Adam sighs as I return my gaze to the mirror. "I hope so" I say quietly before putting the dress back in the closet. Adam sits on the bed as I sit next to him looking at our hands.

"Adam?" I ask looking at him. He looks up from his hands and meets my eyes. "Is Dawn still bothering you?" I ask as my fists tighten. He nods as I stand up from the bed extending my hand. "What are we doing?" Adam asks as he takes my hand and stands up. "We're ending this now" I say before walking out of the room with him following.

I grab Jerome's keys off the counter and proceed to walk towards the front door. Adam walks to the passenger side and slides in as I get in on the driver side. "Get out your phone. We're going to v-log our time in the car and claim that we are going to the mall. There, we will look around for her. Once either one of us spots her we both will confront her and I will tell her to either back off or get what's coming to her. Okay?" I ask as he nods pulling out his phone.

I start the car and pull out of the driveway as Adam says his usual intro. "I'm here with Jordan!" he yells pointing the camera at me. I smile looking at the camera "hey guys". I pull my sunglasses off the top of my head and put them on looking at Adam. "So where are we going today Jordan?" Adam says in a stupid voice making me laugh. "We are going to the mall for some recording equipment" I say looking at the camera then quickly looking back at the road. After about 15 minutes of Adam making punny jokes and talking in random voices, we finally arrive at the mall. Adam uploads the video as I try to find a parking spot.

On the other side of a street I knew

Stood a girl that looked like you

I guess that's déjà vu

But I thought this can't be true

Or New York or Santa Fe

Or wherever to get away from me

I sing turning up the music. Adam looks at me smiling as I finally find a parking spot. I pull in then look at him confusingly. "What are you smiling at?" "How could you possibly hate your voice?" Adam asks as he continues to look at me. "I just do. Past things happen and it can change your personal opinion on some things" I answer looking at the steering wheel. I shake the thought away before sliding out of the car and slamming the door behind me. I hear Adam's car door close as we walk towards the mall.

He finally catches up to me as we walk into the mall. "So where do you want to go?" I ask looking at him. "Um Gamestop?" he asks smiling. "Let's do it" I say laughing. We walk throughout the mall looking around for her until we finally reach Gamestop. Adam walks in and immediately begins to pick up a numerous amount of games until his arms are full. "What are all of these for?" I ask laughing at him struggling to hold them. "SkyVsGaming. Duh" Adam says smiling as I laugh harder.

I walk off in the other direction but something catches my eye. I turn to look and see a pair of headphones hanging on the wall. I pick them up and study them looking at every detail. I need another set of headphones I think to myself. I walk to the checkout line and stand next to Adam. After buying a dozens of video games and a pair of headphones, Adam and I walk out of Gamestop looking around. I begin to walk off but realize that Adam didn't move from the doorway. "Adam?" I asked as I looked in the direction he was looking. I see Dawn sitting at a table on the level below us in the food court. She looks up at us as Adam walks towards the escalator with me following close behind.
