chapter 57

OMG!! I JUST GOT 20 K READS ON THE FIRST BOOK!! Thank you guys so much for everything!! As promised, I will update 2 chapters today. So here's the first one :)

Jordan's POV****

Soon after the signing was over, we decide to spend the rest of the night at the beach. The thoughts about running still lingered in my mind. Should I leave and cause them no more pain or should I stay and protect them the best that I can?

Ty grabs my hand and pulls me to the rental car along with Nichole, Jerome and Jason. Silently, I slide in the backseat with Ty following after. "Jordan are you okay back there?" Jerome asks from the drivers seat, looking at me through the rear view mirror.

I nod, turning my attention back to the window, watching the car back up out of the parking lot. My head ached from where I think T.J. punched me. "Are you sure your okay Jor?" Ty whispers into my ear. I look over at him sighing. "Shh don't say anything I understand" Ty whispers, pulling me to him. His arms wrap around me as I lean on his chest. I quietly feel tears run down my cheeks, some getting on his shirt.

Once arriving at the hotel, we each go to our rooms and change into our bathing suits. "Hopefully a trip to the beach will take this off my mind" I say, pulling up my cover up. I look over at Ty who was taking a selfie of me and him. "Hey you have to warn me when your doing a selfie or I will look terrible!" I yell jumping on his back smiling.

(Is it a coincidence that the song you'll be in my heart came on? I think not!) I kiss his cheek as he takes the picture. "I love it! Send it to me!" I say, still on his back. Ty turns his head as he leans in kissing me. I kiss back before hopping off grabbing my phone and aviators. "Am I allowed to go anywhere by myself?" I ask, afraid to look behind me at Ty.

Ty wraps his arms behind my waist, holding me close to him. "No because he could hurt you again if your not careful". I nod hearing a knock on the door. I kiss his cheek before pulling away from his grasp, walking to the door.

"You guys ready?" June asks excitingly, tucking a strand of her red hair behind her ear. "Yep we're coming" I answer looking at Ty. He grabs his phone and his bag before walking out the door behind me.

The walk to the beach felt like forever. Once the beach came into view, Adam took off running. "Wheezzyyy!!" he screamed making our whole group bust into laughter. Ty, Jason, Ian, Mitch and Jerome race after him which leaves the girls behind, still walking.

"I still don't see how we put up with them" Alesa says shaking her head. We all giggle as our feet finally hit the sand. They continue to walk forwards as I stop admiring the feeling of sand between my toes.

"Jordan are you coming?" Nichole asks looking back at me. I nod, smiling, before running towards them.

Nichole and I lay on towels in the sand watching everyone splash one another in the water. I smile enjoying the view. I slide my aviators down over my eyes before turning to Nichole. "Hey can you run a quick errand with me?" I ask. "Depends. How far is it" she asks pulling down her sunglasses. 

"That sun is so bright!" she yells throwing her sunglasses back on. I laugh, standing up. "So how far is it?" Nichole asks standing up next to me. "Across the street" I answer pointing behind me. "Ugh fine I'll come" she groans, following me.

I look back and see Ty clueless that Nichole and I just got up and left. Looking around, we walk straight to the place I wanted to be. "Jordan what are we doing at a guns, knives and pawn shop?" Nichole asks reading the sign above the shop. Silently, I walk into the store and go straight to the counter.

"How may I help you miss?" A man appears from the back room of the store. "I was wondering if you could show me a knife that would be good for self defense".
