The Importance

Most things aren't that important to you or to others. So why even care about these things that don't even matter? Even if your heart says keep going, your mind is saying stay away. The mind is always smarter than the heart. You don't need your heart, it is unimportant.

The Saving

There was silence as Tom's body slowly went lifeless. The thing that was holding him wouldn't let go. Tom had already given up on looking for Tord, he just hoped that Edd and Matt could survive on their own.

Then randomly an arrow hit the cloud like beast and it dropped Tom.

Tom's P.O.V

I slowly stood up as the air entered my lungs again. I was still alive! I looked in front of myself to see who shot the arrow. Tord. Tord shot the arrow to save me. He was hurt all over, bleeding, limping, covered in cuts. He was bleeding from the mouth and from his leg.

"Well . . . . look who I saved . . " Tord said, barely being able to talk. Then his body dropped to the ground. "Tord!" I ran up to him, but fell because I was too light headed. I laid there hoping that I could help him. After a while I stood up and placed Tord's arm so that it was on the back of my neck. And I was almost dragging him. I was holding him the way you would hold someone's arm or side when their leg was injured.

I grabbed the bow and arrows and walked until I found the path and walked to the house. I opened the door to the house and brought Tord inside. I laid him in my spot on the bed. I fell to the ground from exhaustion. I then passed out.

Matt's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of something falling to the ground. I looked to my left where Tom and Edd were sleeping but Tom wasn't there and instead, Tord was there. He was covered in blood, he must've blacked out.

I looked at the floor and Tom was laying there with his eyes shut. I looked at Edd and he seemed just fine, sleeping. I decided to go back to sleep and wait for the morning to come.

I woke up again but this time it was in the morning. I got up and opened the front door. It was beautiful outside. The sun was a fragment of the sky, being a white as well. I walked outside and into the little house that was behind ours. Inside there was food. I grabbed some and went back into the house.

I shut the door behind myself and sat on the bed. I ate some of the food and saved the rest for whoever would wake up first. After an hour, Edd woke up. I grabbed the food and handed it to him. "Huh, I'm not hungry right now." "Ok, by the way, do you know what happened to Tord and Tom?"

Edd's P.O.V

I looked around at Tom and Tord. "What happened to them!" "I don't know, but should we help Tord?" "Uh, I mean, if Tom didn't do anything, then we should do the same." "Ok!" I got up and went to the bathroom, after I washed my hands, I told Matt that I was going to take a shower. "But wait, what clothes are you going to change into?" "Um, is there a washer machine or dryer machine that so happens to be here?" "Uh, yeah, in the bathroom." "Ok, can you wash my clothes as I take a shower?" "Ok."

Tom's P.O.V

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was in the house, I did remember making it here, but I thought that that was just a dream. Or maybe the whole incident was just a dream. I slowly stood up and looked at the bed. No one was there except for Tord. He was still bleeding. I guess it wasn't a dream. I sat by Tord and waited for him to wake up.

After three hours, Tord slowly opened his eyes. "Tord! Are you okay?" Tord tried to move. "Huh, ow!" "Don't move, your hurt Tord!" "Yeah, I know." He settled back into the bed. "What happened to you, how did this happen?" "Well, I got us a weapon, now we can hunt for food and if something is after us at night than we got that." "Oh, but your . . . " "Wait, did you bring the bow and arrows here!" "Yeah." "Oh, good."

Tord started to look around a bit before talking again. "So, you brought me here?" "Yeah, why didn't you just get the bow and arrows in the morning?" "Because, if something attacked us while you guys were sleeping, I would be able to defend myself and you guys, and also you can only get weapons at night." "Why only at night?" "Because in the morning everything is peaceful, why would they ruin it by adding in weapons."

"Tord, let me see your leg?" Tord stretched his leg out towards me and I examined it. There was a big slash across his leg. It still had blood coming out of it, it also had some dry blood around it. "Hey, Tord, are there any type of bandages around here?" "Here, I grabbed them on my way from getting the bow." Tord was holding a stretch bandage. I wrapped it around his leg. "So why was your mouth bleeding?" "Oh, nothing, just got a little hurt." "Ok?"

"Oh by the way Tord, about our neighbors." "What about them?" "I talked to them." "Why?" "I was wondering if you were going to be there." "Oh." "Also, one of them had a sword, does that mean they did the same thing that you did?" "Yep." "Tord, tonight, can you stay here?" ". . . . ok."

Later on in the day, the sky changed to orange and I knew it was turning nighttime again. I went beside the bed and went to sleep.
