Chapter 22

Madison's POV:

Well, today's the day! The day Rocky and I find out the gender of our child.

Oh boy.

I woke up my loverly boyfriend and we walked downstairs and grabbed us a quick breakfast, then started getting ready.

'Our appointment is at 9, so hurry it up! Okay Mr. Perfect?' I laughed as he rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out at me.

I was ready to go, and sitting on my bed while waiting for Rocky to finish up.

I had on my favorite tee that had "mermaid at heart" written across it's front, my favorite ripped skinnies, and of course, my black chucks.

'Rockyyyyy, are you ready yet?' I moan and lay back on the bed.

"Yessss Madisonnn." He says mimicking my tone and letting out a small giggle while he jumps on top of me.

'Well what are we waiting for? Let's go find out about our baby!' I say excitedly with the biggest smile on my face as I jump up and run to the car.

Once we arrived at the doctors office Rocky parked and looked at me deeply.

'Everything alright babe?' I say, placing a piece of his hair behind his ear.

"Yeah. Everything's fine. Everything is going to be fine." He says back, taking a deep breath.

We both get out of the car and I walk to his side where he stands at the drivers door.

I lock my fingers with his and push him lightly onto the car.

'Are you ready to see if we're raising a diva or a rock star?' I smile looking straight into his eyes.

"Definitely." He laughs, leaning down and planting a soft kiss onto my lips.

We then walk into the doctors office hand in hand, ready to see a little deeper into our future together.

We sign in and then sit patiently in the waiting room and wait for our name to be called.

"Mr. & Mrs. Lynch, the doctor is ready to see you now." The sweet nurse smiled as she called us back and led us to our little room.

"Hello Mr. & Mrs. Lynch. How are you two doing today?" The doctor smiled as he prepared the equipment for my ultrasound.

'We're doing great, and we're super excited about today!" I smile back sweetly, taking a seat on the bed.

"Good, good. Now, can I just get you to lay back for me and lift up your shirt please?" Dr. Osborn says, helping me lay back.

"Now this is going to be a little cold." He laughs as he applies the cream to my belly.

"Now, here's the moment of truth. Are you two ready?" He smiles widely.

I grab Rocky's hand, turn to him, and nod with a bright eyed smile.

"We're ready." We both say in unison.

Dr. Osborn then places the ultrasound on my stomach and moves it around a bit.

"Look, do you see right there?" He smiles, pointing to a spot on the screen.

"It's a girl."

A smile stretches across my face as I turn to Rocky to see his reaction.

I could see his eyes glaze over with happiness.

'We're going to have a baby girl.' I smile.

"And she's going to be as beautiful as her mother." He sweetly sings and kisses my forehead.

"Do you want to hear her heartbeat?" Dr. Osborn ask.

"Let's hear it!" Rocky exclaims.

He moves the machine around once again and then....

"Bum bum... Bumm bumm... Bumm."

We hear our baby girls heartbeat and it's like music to our ears.

"Congratulations you two. You have a healthy baby girl on your hands." He smiles and cuts the machine off.

I can't help but look over at Rocky and smile.

Wow... I can't believe it.

We left the doctors office and headed back home to tell the family the exciting news.

As we walked in the door everyone came rushing up to us to hear the news.

So we sat everyone down in the living room and spilled all the details.

"Soooo... Tell us! Is it a boy? Or a girl? Oh my goodness I can't wait to know!" Rydel screams.

'Well...' I start... Then look over to Rocky.

"We're having a girl!" We smile and exclaim in unison to our family.

"Oh my stars! A granddaughter! Oooh Rocky is going to spoil her!" Stormie smiles.

"Congratulations Maddy. I can't wait to spoil my niece! She's going to be like a little you!" Riker says as he hugs me tight and kisses my forehead.

"Ooh. I can buy her so many cute outfits! I'm so happy for you two." Rydel exclaims as she hugs us both tightly.

"I'm going to teach her how to play guitar and be cool, okay?" Ross laughs and hugs me until I can't breathe.

"A little Madison huh?... Mixed with a little Rocky.. This means a crazy kid. Uncle E-Rat has got this." Ellington chuckles as he hugs my side and kisses my cheek.

"Dude. I'm going to have a niece. Cool!" Ryland exclaims as he hugs my just as tight.

Everyone is so excited about our little girl. Man, I just can't wait for her to get here!

"What about names? Have you put any thought into those yet?" Rydel ask sweetly.

'Well, I was thinking of keeping the "R" thing going, ya know?' I laughed.

'So Riley is on the list. Riley Isabella. Possibly? I don't know. We have a lot of time to think on it.' I giggle.

"Well I think that name is beautiful babe." Rocky smirks as he wraps his arm around me and kisses the top of my head.

"We're going to be the perfect family."

There we go! I'm so so sorry I haven't updated in so long! I've been in Europe and just so so busy this summer!
