Chapter 22: Figuring Out a Plan

3rd POV:

The underground rebellion was in a ruckus. Everyone was looking top and bottom for those blasted twins. Everyone except Flippy and Cuddles.

They were in Flippys office Flippy was sitting his desk, staring at a half empty-half full cup of coffee from that morning. His hands and head, shaking with anger. His eyes glitching from green to yellow.

Cuddles was sitting on the couch to the right of the desk. He was reading a book and had a bucket of water right next to him, incase Flippys eyes turned fully yellow.

Flippy spoke up, "Do you think they were, you know-".

Cuddles cut off Flippys trembling voice, "Kidnapped? I d-don't know, to be honest. Is it a possibility, yes." .

"Think 'bout it. Why would they just tell their army to retreat right in the middle of the fight?. It just doesn't make sense. They had to have been kidnapped.".

"If you think that's what happe-".

"I know that's what happened." Flippy cut off. "We need to figure out a plan.".

At enemy base

"Hello son, good to see you again.".

Lifty gave his father a nasty look.

"Hello Brady." Lifty said, not looking at him straight in the eye.

"I am your father, not one of your friends. Do not call me by my name.". Brady said in nasty tone.

"I don't have the respect for you to call you father." Lifty replied.

"Respect. One of the many things you once had, but threw it away once you got older." Brady chuckled.

"Sorry. I don't give respect to people who helped destroyed my life and soul.".

Brady could smell the alcohol on his sons breath. A faint smell of a recent coffee and cigarettes also.

"Addictive personality still, huh Lifty? Just like your mum.".

"Don't speak of that horrible woman. Now what do you want from me? Money? Information?" Lifty growled.

"Well I have a bucket list you see. Killing you, your brother, and that rebellion is on it.".

"Why me? Was it because I put gasoline in your tea once or twice?" Lifty smirked.

"One of many reasons. Now, let's say hi to that rebellion your tied to, shall we?".

Brady got duct tape and put it over Lifty's mouth.

"This is so you won't spill any secrets." He said.

Then he pulled out a camera from the corner of the room and turned it on to live.

At rebellion base.

Cuddles and Flippy were deciding a plan.

"Okay so we know from past attack's all entrances are here." Cuddles says as point points to different parts of the enemy base map. "But we will have to be careful, each entrance is heavily guarded.".

The tv all of a sudden turned on and started buzzing.  Then it stopped making it dead quiet. Cuddles and Flippy just stared at the screen. About a minute passed, and then the tv showed a dark room with a table and two people. One facing the camera and the other turned around, sitting on a chair. The man facing the camera started making a dark chuckle.

"That laugh. It's all too familiar." Flippy mumbled to himself.

"Hello Flippy, Cuddles. Nice to see you again. Been awhile, hasn't it?" The man facing the camera said.

"Brady! I should have known!" Flippy yelled.

"How did you know?" Brady questioned sarcastically.

"Can he hear us?" Cuddles asked Flippy.

"Of course I can hear you! All thanks to your girlfriend." Brady replied.

"What did you do to her!" Cuddles yelled.

"Me? I simply hired her to gather information. Can't trust everyone, can we Cuddles?" Brady said calmly.

"Where's Lifty and Shifty?" Flippy asked angrily.

"Well ones right here. Say hi Lifty." Brady then turned the chair around to reveal Lifty, who looked merely bored of the situation.

"Bring then back, now!" Flippy yelled.

"Oh well I am not doing that. You guys will." Brady then revealed a more serious tone. "You have seven days to rescue them. If you don't, I will kill both of them and send you the tape recordings. Then, I will blow your whole rebellion base to bits. Good luck." He proceeded to turn off the camera, leaving the tv blank.

"Let's go back to planning.".

Thank you guys for reading that chapter. I am starting to get more free time so updates on this story will be coming a lot quicker! Also, I am planning on having this book be finished before either June or July. Then I will be starting a new series (still on Happy Tree Friends). I have 2 ideas of stories on my mind but not sure which one I wanna make first. This book series will most likely not get a book 3 as I am planning on having the story end this book. The only way there would be a third book is a side story, but it's highly unlikely. But anyways, have I great day guys!!! Bye!!
