MIKEY'S POV
This is going to be harder than I thought.
It's only the first read through.
It'll get better when we get on stage.
I just have to come off more friendly.
As we're doing the read through, I see how much of her heart she puts into this.
I see why she got Vanessa.
We finish the read through.
Tomorrow we're going to be working on the opening number, In The Heights.
I watch as her and Kathleen walk out.
I practically run to her.
"Um hey. Jenna Dougal is having a party next weekend. Be my plus one?" I asked.
She looked at Kathleen.
She laughed in my face.
"Why in the hell would I go to a party with a boy I don't like for a girl I don't like?" I asked.
"Just to get some chemistry." I said.
"Uh huh yeah. Is this a prank? Are you going to prank me there?" She asked.
"No not at all!" I said.
"Whatever, Mikey." She said walking away.
"Can you let me know by next Friday?!" I asked.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night!" She said.
