"So where are we going?" I asked, really curious now.

Grant was walking me to his car to take me to our mystery date.

"Okay fine I'll tell you. Mike is having a bonfire and everyone's going so I thou-"

"No. No way I'm not going." I dropped grants hand and crossed my arms, making him stop.

"But Beth he's changed. Besides he isn't gonna be the only person there. A lot if your friends are going, and I'll be there."

"Grant I know, I just don't feel comfortable being around him." I looked down at my crossed arms remembering the night that was causing me to be hesitant about going.

It was at a party last year. His party to be exact. Mike and I had been friend for awhile and I considered him one of my best guy friends. We were dancing and drinking. Well he was, I don't drink. And he was drunk, really drunk. He started to do things like touch me and he even kissed me. I pushed him off and didn't think anything of it, but he wouldn't stop. After a song, Mike grabbed my hand and started leading me somewhere, I wasn't sure where. I shortly found out when he led me up the stairs to his bedroom. Mike shut the door and pushed me onto the bed, kissing me. I tried to push him off but he would budge. He held my legs down with his hands and kissed down my neck. He eventually started to make his way up my thigh, moving under my dress. I screamed at the top of my lungs but no one could here me because the music was blasting. The point when he started to unbuckle his pants, that is when I started to cry. I remember him telling me to shut up and that it wouldn't hurt. He unbuckled his pants and slipped them off. Mike was just about to lift my dress off when someone burst through the door. It was Grant, he ran over and pushed mike off of me. I scrabbled off the bed and into Grants arms, trembling. Grant drove me home right after that and stayed with me the whole night. Since then I haven't talked to mike and try to avoid looking at him because he gives me awful looks.

Remembering this brought tears to my eyes, and one slipped out and trickled down my cheek.

I guess Grant saw how upset I was because he came over and put his arms around me.

"Bethany, look I know what he did to you was terrible, but I promise you. He has changed. He even has a girlfriend now, surprisingly, so he's not gonna bother you. And if he does, I'll beat the shit out of him okay?"

I took into consideration what Grant was saying, he never lied to me and I knew he would protect me so I shook my head,"okay."

He looked down at me and smiled,"It'll be fun."

"Maybe, but I need to go home and change first."

"Alright, I'll drive you home."

I went back to me and Emma's spot, told we I was leaving, grabbed my stuff and ran back to Grants car.

I really hope Grant was right in saying that Mike had changed, because I did not need a replay of that night.
