After cleaning Grant up, my mom went upstairs to read her book so we could be alone.
Neither of us said anything for awhile. I looked at Grant but he just stared at the wall, until he finally spoke.
"Bethany I had no idea he was going to do that."
I touched his arm,"Grant it's okay, no one knew we were gonna play truth or dare and have it end like that."
He turned to look at me, a sad look in his eyes,"But I know what he did to you before and it's just not right."
Instead of saying anything else I leaned over and kissed him.
He put his hands on my waist and kissed me back.
I could feel his hands slipping down my back and down to my, you know what. I didn't do anything at the moment because I just wanted to kiss him but I started to feel uncomfortable.
"G-Grant..." I pushed away from him,"what are you doing?"
He took his hands away from me and stood up,"I'm sorry. I have to go. See you later."
He walked towards the door but I grabbed his arm spinning him around,"Grant, I'm sorry, you know I just don't-"
"Bethany, it's fine," he leaned down and kissed me on the forehead,"I have to go."
I opened the door for him and watched him drive away. When he was out of sight, I closed the door.
"What's up with you too."
"Oh my god!" I spun around to face my mom,"you scared the crap out of me!"
"Oh I'm sorry sweetie I didn't mean to." She put her hand on my back,"you want to talk about it?"
"No mom, I just want to go to bed."
She gave me a sad look and let me go upstairs.
I changed into my pjs and got right into bed, falling asleep the minute my head hit the pillow.

The next morning I woke up and immediately grabbed my phone to text Grant.
I texted him multiple times but he never texted back.
After last nights events I figured he would want some space. But he tried to like touch me...and I mean It's not like I didn't want to have sex with him, because I'm guessing that's what he was going for. I did, I just want ready. I watched teen mom enough times to scare me out of it. I'm joking but really, I didn't want to get pregnant or studs or something, but I really was just waiting till marriage or if he was really the one I loved. And I do love Grant I just don't know how long it will last.
I thought about it for about a half an hour and then my stomach started to growl and I needed food.

{4 days later}
I was sitting in the living room reading tfios for the millionth time when my phone buzzed.
I snatched it off the couch cushion and click it on, happy to see it was a text from Grant.
G: there's a fair on the pier tonight, want to go?
B: of course I do. I'm so glad to hear from you.
G: I'll pick you up around 6.
B: sounds good
G: I'll talk to you then.
I didn't text back but just smiled at my phone.
Fairs were my favorite thing in the whole world and I got to spend it with my favorite person in the whole world.
-
I told my mom that Grant was back and he asked me to go to the fair. She said it was a good idea and gave me some money.
Good ol' mom to give me money.
After Grant texted me I was pretty restless waiting till 6 o'clock when he would be picking me up.
At five I went to my room to get ready. My clothing was the first thing I wanted to tackle. It wasn't to hot and I figured it might cool down some more. Pawing through my closet I picked out a pair of short jean Hollister shorts and a red plaid long sleeve shirt. For my makeup I did mascara, winged eyeliner, and some light eyeshadow. I pulled my hair into a loose ponytail and used a red bandana that matched my shirt. Once I was satisfied with my look I went back into my room and plopped on the bed grabbing my phone.
I went on vine and looked at the new vines. My favorite viner Nash Grier posted and I watched his new ones, and all of the old ones I had seen a billion times already. I must have been laughing so hard that I didn't hear the doorbell ring because my mom came upstairs and peeked her head into my bedroom.
"Grants here Beth."
Turning off my phone I grabbed my money and walked out of my room.
I walked down the hall and got to the top of the stairs. Looking down I saw Grant. He looked up at me and gave me a warm smile.
Smiling back I skipped down the stairs, grabbed my shoes and walked out the door as he held it open for me.
