Grant dropped me off at my house and he went back to his to get ready also.

He would be picking me up at 7 o'clock so that have me about 2 hours to get ready. Physically and mentally.

I hopped into the shower to clean myself of the sand. That stuff gets everywhere. If you get what I mean.

After I got most of the sand off, you can never get it all, I went back into my room to find an outfit.

I pulled open my french closest doors and started to rummage through my millions of clothing items.

I was going to be around Mike so I didn't want to dress to revealing or slutty, not that I did ever. After 30 minutes of trying on five hundred different outfits, I chose a pair of leggings from pink, and a navy blue sweatshirt my dad got me from Harvard. No I'm not planning on going there, but my dad did and he worked there too.

I walked back into the bathroom and turned on the straightener. Once it heated up I straightened my hair then contemplated what I should do with it. I threw it up into a pony tail then decided to leave it down.

It was just a bonfire but I never really went without makeup so I put on some concealer, my face isn't perfect, and some mascara with a touch of eyeliner.

Me being well me, I took up one and a half hours picking my outfit and doing my hair and makeup. I was kind of hungry but figured there would be food at the bonfire. Not that I really trusted that It wouldn't be like drugged or something.

That was one of my biggest fears going into high school, getting drugged at a party. I wouldn't know it, but the powdered sugar on the brownies would be cocaine or something. Well that never happened, not even at miles party, the one where he like raped me. Most of the parties I go to are just watching movies with friends and like their mom being right there so no drugs.

I jogged down the stairs to be met by Bently who jumped on my and licked my hand. I picked him up and walked into the kitchen

Paige and my mom were talking at the table.

"Oh hi." I said putting Bently down so he could go play with Bailee.

My mom turned around and looked at me,"Oh hey sweetie. There's some spaghetti and cheese bread on the stove."

"I'm fine, there will probably be food at the bonfire." I knew I wouldn't probably eat anything but best not to worry my mom.

"Okay, well you should still eat something."

I rolled my eyes and stuffed a piece of cheese bread in my mouth.

"A bonfire? I used to go to those all the time with my friends in high school. I was a pretty popular girl." Paige said shifting in her seat.

"Then you met my brother." I said with a mouthful of cheesy bread.

My mom shot me a look.

Paige just laughed,"Yeah then I met your brother, and this little guy came along."

"Oh so it's a boy?" I asked swallowing the last bit of my bread.

"Well we don't really know, we want it to be a surprise." She said putting her hand on her stomach. My mom smiled.

Ugh, I wasn't one for the mushy baby stuff. They were cute but the part before they are like clean and stuff doesn't interest me that much.

The doorbell rang and I ran over to it, opening it to Grant standing on the porch.

He looked really good. He wore a blue Hollister shirt, khakis, and black nike shoes. It was simple but I loved that about him. The littlest things could make me smile.

I grabbed my grey vans and walked out the door, yelling to my mom that I would be back around 11.

Grant took my hand and walked me to his car, opening the door.

"Don't you look dashing tonight." I said playfully stepping into the car.

"Why thank you. You look quite lovely yourself." He shut the door and went over to the drivers side.

When we were both in and buckled we started the short drive to Mikes. It was shorter than I would have liked, because he lived really close. Unfortunately.

We parked in his driveway and Grant started to get out of the car until he noticed that I wasn't unbuckling.

He looked over at me and saw my scared face,"Bethany it's gonna be okay. I'll be right by you the whole time, won't let you out of my sight."

I looked over into his eyes and smiled,"okay."

We got out of the car and walked up the the front door of my worst enemies gigantic house.
