Meeting Biana - Tam's POV

When we arrived at Everglen, I quickly scrambled away from Sophie.

What was I thinking?! I scolded myself. Why did I do that?! I felt the tips of me ears burn, and I dared to look at Sophie and saw that she was even redder than me. I cleared my throat and took deep breaths. Okay. Cool down, Tam. "Let's... let's get inside..." I muttered. She nodded and we walked inside in complete awkward silence.

We walked inside. "I'll just go to Biana. I gotta talk to her about something." I said, walking up the huge crystal staircase. I'd always thought the crystals were a bit too much. Sophie raced after me and I caught a glimpse of her face. It looked... vaguely disappointed. "I'll come with you." called Sophie. I nodded weakly. How's my plan going to work now?! I sighed. Sophie looked at me. "Unless you need some alone time with Biana, right?" she asked. The color on my face visibly drained. "Yes! Wait, uh, I mean, no, it's not like that..." I stuttered nervously. She gave a weak smile. "I'll visit Marella." she said. "Wait, but you can stay..." "No, it's fine..." she said.

I sighed and watched her trudge away. Then I knocked on Biana's door and she answered. "Oh, Tam! Hey, come right in." she said, signaling me inside her room. It was very, very sparkly. I rubbed my eyes and sat down on... something. "So, what're you here for?" she asked. I took in a large, shaky breath. "I... I have to confess something." I said. Her eyes glinted."Yeah?" "I... I think..." I mumbled. "You think what?" she asked. "I think I like Sophie." I whispered. She squealed and tackle-hugged me. "I knew it!" she squealed. I peeled myself off of her. "I liked her ever since the dinner..." I admitted. She smiled. "It was pretty obvious." said Biana.

I sighed, wondering if this was a good idea, coming to Biana. I shouldn't have come here in the first place! She would tell every single elf, I would be rejected-

"Tam." she sternly said. I flinched at the sudden tone change in her voice. "You can't back out. I can see it in your face." She said. I sighed. "You do what you need to do, Tam." she whispered, voice cracking. She cleared her throat. "But, I suppose Keefe doesn't like me, and I have a vague idea of who he likes...." she whispered. I narrowed my eyes. I had competition.

I sighed. "You're right, Biana." I said. "Of course I am!" She exclaimed. I grinned. "You know, you're a real big help sometimes," I commented. Gasping in fake hurt, Biana cried out in betrayal. "Sometimes? Who am I, Fitz?! No, I'm joking, no shade." she added quickly, making me chuckle. "But seriously, thank you, Vacker sister."

"Your welcome, Song brother." Biana mocked, earning an eye roll. "Ha ha, very funny." I said sarcastically. "Anyway. Tam, going back to the original point, if you actually get the guts to confess to Sophie freaking Foster, just remember, be yourself, and don't be awkward. Oh, and if you need more advice, feel free to leap here at any time, unless I'm asleep. If you do that, we'll have ourselves a real problem, buster." Biana rambled.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Did you just call me buster?" I asked.

"Yes. Why, is there a problem, buster?"

I held my hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay, it's nothing." I said, smiling.

Biana's face softened. "See? You're already smiling a lot more. Smile like that to Sophie and she'll definitely fall for you, Tam." Biana said, grinning and giving me a thumbs up. I felt flustered, but thanked her.

"Hey, it's great to have an awesome friend like you." I blurted out.

Laughing, Biana shook her head. "Right back at you, Tam. Props to you for making it awkward, though," she continued.

"Oh. I did?"

"No, I was kidding. Anyways, don't you have a girl to catch?"

"Oh. Um, I guess?"

Biana laughed at my awkwardness. "Come on, go! Go! Step one, don't leave her waiting! See you later, you're welcome, and goodbye!" Biana said, pushing me outside. Before I could protest, she waved at me and shut the door in my face.
