I slumped against the wall, waiting for my punishment. I groaned, thinking about how amazing it would be. I turned extra red and cringed at the thought of Grady walking in with Edaline, and them catching me and Tam. I grimaced and wanted to die yet again.

Grady walked in, and behind him, before he closed the door, I saw Alden. He looked partly worried and I wondered if it was because of Grady or me. Oh, how great this will be...

Grady walked up to me sternly, Edaline coming inside behind him. They looked at me for a while, Grady looking slightly disappointed and crestfallen; while Edaline looked at me with slight pity in her eyes. Grady cleared his throat. "So, Sophie, are you and Tam..." He paused. I nodded shamefully. Edaline grasped his arm tightly. "Isn't she old enough?" she asked. He sighed and rubbed his temples. "I suppose. But if ANYBODY, ANYBODY tries to lay ONE SINGLE HAND ON YOU, they're going down." he said to me. I nodded, but was personally scared for him. He had so much need to kill people it was unsettling.

Edaline clapped her hands together. "Alright! So now that's settled..." she said, looking at Grady. He smiled and they ran upstairs. "We're going to clean the empty room for... something!" they called. I smiled. "OKAY!" I yelled. I heard a loud, thump and Edaline laughed. "SOPHIE! YOUR DAD JUST TRIPPED GOING UP THE STAIRS!" she hollered. I laughed and heard Grady stomp into the room comically.

I sighed in the silence, the noise piercing the air. I stood up and walked outside. I wonder how Tam's doing. I grabbed a leaping crystal, a deep purple one, and pointed the facet to the light. "Alluvetere!"

I solidified into the field of the home and I walked to the door. I rapped my knuckle against the door and immediately, Linh answered the door. "Ah, the one and only. I bet you're here for something." she said with a grin. I felt a blush creep in and she laughed. "Come on, he's getting crazy. Probably can't survive without you!" she teased. I shoved her shoulder and she looked injured, but in a funny way. "You have betrayed me!" she said, dramatically clutching her shoulder. I laughed and she lead me to his room.

It was an awfully dull colored room. But it was really, really neat and organized. I took a reluctant step in and Linh closed the door behind me, giggling. I took a deep breath and called, "Tam?"

I heard a huge round of ruffling clothes and he shuffled out the bathroom door, I assumed, and he was in the middle of pulling on a stubborn lace-up jerkin. But it was enough for me to peek at his noticeable muscles, awkwardly cough, and feel my face heat up. I looked away, wishing to sink underground and die there.

Tam pulled on the rest of his jerkin and walked to me. "Hey." he said. "Hi?"

I saw him twiddle his thumbs and I laughed. "So, why are you here?" he asked. "So, you know what? When you left, Grady and Edaline came in, and he started to scold me, and..."
