She had never seen a place so grand, Hell was supposed to be about evil and cruelty or so she heard from all of the novels she read, which were definitely wrong by the look of things. Maybe there could be beauty after death, Lucy thought to herself. Pushing through another bronze door Lucy finally decided to break the silence.

"Are we almost there yet?" Lucy asked, almost whiny but ready for what is yet to face her.

"Damn you're annoying," Devin paused, "no way you are who he thinks you are."

"Satan?" She knew the question was obvious but still managed to check.

"Yes" Looking at the door he smiled, "We are here. Don't do anything stupid." Letting go of the handle on the door it was now open. "Little word of advice, don't speak unless your spoken to."

"Um... Thanks?" Lucy said. Devin shoved her lightly into the room and was gone before she could look back. "Hello?" She said with a great uncertainty as she took a few steps into the room.

"Lucille. Come. Sit." Replied a booming voice from who she suspected to be sitting in the great bronze throne chair. Remembering what Devin said she spoke nothing and obeyed the voice.

Gathering enough courage after a few silent minutes Lucy finally spoke "Are you Satan?"

Laughing he said "Of course my dear," A serious look crossed his face and he continued "but do you know who I REALLY am?"

Taking a second to consider what Satan just asked, Lucy replies "What do you mean?"

"Oh my darling Lucille--" He was cut off by Lucy.

"My name is Lucy!" She stated, sounding angry.

In the most calming tone he questioned "But your real name is Lucille correct? Lucille Feyer?"

She nodded, "So?"

Getting up Satan glanced at her "Don't you see it Lucille? I'm your father."

"That's impossible... No your not." She said trying to convince herself.

"Think about it, you were adopted, nothing is known about your parents, and your name was still Lucille when you were at the adoption center. Under my request of course." He said smiling.

"Why did you not keep me?" Lucy asked with tear-full eyes.

"I needed you to live a human life, I needed to see--" He stopped.

"See what?" She was now looking into his eyes for the answer, hoping to understand.

"You are gifted. When you were born, your mother saw something in you and I know now that it is true. You can transport between the mortal and immortal worlds, not even I, the ruler of the underworld, can do that."

"I don't understand." Lucy said with confusion.

"Come." He said grabbing her hand, "Let me clear up your confusion."

"What is this used for?" Lucy said as she hovered over the large clear sphere.

"Put your hands on it and clear your thoughts." Satan demanded.

Lucy obeyed and put her hands on the cold globe. "Relax and think of a place, any place. Now what do you see?"

"Downtown Los Angeles." She whispered under her breath.

"Good. Now repeat after me--" He paused. When she finally nodded he continued "I Lucille Feyer, at my request demand to be sent to the land of my desire understanding the consequences that may come."

She repeated the words and felt a sharp pain, kneeling to the ground she opened her eyes and found herself in Los Angeles. "Listen to me Lucille" A voice boomed in her head, "Now think of Hell and say the words again." She did so and found herself standing in front of the globe once more.

"I survived?" Lucy asked Satan, who was smiling.

"Yes my dear, you succeeded." He said, sounding like a proud father after his child just won an award.

Moments after a short man in a black robe enters "My lord, there is a boy that is impossible to read, can you assist?"

"Yes, Lucille you should come see, this is a power we all possess." Satan spoke at Lucy. She said nothing but followed him into a room where more black robed men were waiting.
