"Ow!" Elise exclaims.
Pulling Elise's hand back over the cup, "I'm almost done. Just a little bit more--" Lucy pauses, "Ok done!"
"So you really think this will work?" Elise says, wrapping her wound.
"It has to. The only way I can not hurt you is this." Lucy speaks, looking directly at the red liquid in the white stain-glass cup.
"You could always just torture me." Elise says bluntly.
"I could never do that."
"You know, for being related to a demon you really are quite angelic." Elise smiles.
"Thanks." A long pause, "We should get started." Lucy says picking up the glass with a look of disgust on her face. "Cheers!" She lifts the glass in the air before swallowing what is fresh, warm blood. She gags a few times before putting the cup down, "That was horrible!"
"Sorry Lucy. What do we do now?" Elise asks.
"Practice." Lucy replies with a smirk.
"How do you plan on---OW!" She is cut off by a knife in her heart. Pulling it out the wound stopped bleeding instantly. "At least we know?"
"Adam!" Lucy chirped peeking her head out of the libraries door.
"One moment Lucille!" Adam directs his attention back to someone in the next room, "Your daughter is calling. I will be back." His pale white face shines as he turns back to the hallway.
At a whisper Adam continues, "Did it work?" he faces his attention at Elise.
"Yes." Elise speaks softly.
"It worked perfect! I'm okay!" Elise smiles brightly.
"Now for more training. Lucy, good luck." Adam has a certain shake in his tone.
"Why good luck?" Lucy asks.
"Let's just say, no one fails your father and lives to tell the tale." He stares off before walking away from the two confused girls in the hallway, reminding Lucy want her mission is.
