"Here we are." Adam says, looking into the gold and red colored master bedroom.
"Thank you Adam." Lucy replies, entering the suite that was now her own. Almost forgetting the girl Adam pushes her in, closing the door and locking it. Lucy's bedroom was never anything great, just a bed in the middle with posters all over the wall and a small closet full of clothes. This was so much better, a beautiful California king bed with red sheets and satin pillows, overlooking a view of Hell which is very city-like looking. In the middle of the ceiling was the biggest chandelier that Lucy had ever seen, painted finely with gold, red, and a hint of silver. Next is something that Lucy had always wanted, across from the bed was a massive open closet, looking in, it was already filled with anything she would ever want to wear. The only problem with the room, she had no one to share it with.
Still sitting on the floor the girl grabs Lucy's attention, "Get up!" she commands.
The girl, still unsteady, leans on the golden wall, "If you're going to kill me just do it already."
"What is your name?" Lucy asks ignoring the question.
"Ummm... Elise." She says, hesitantly.
"Well Elise, I am not going to kill you."
"I deserve it. I deserve to die." Elise whispers, looking down.
"Nothing a person does in life, is worth death." She says, trying to be comforting.
"For me it is."
After a long and awkward pause Lucy asks the big question, "What did you do?"
"I, I...." She said through sobs, "I killed someone. My best friend actually."
"Why?" Lucy questions.
"I didn't mean to. It started a few months ago, my boyfriend and I broke up and a day later they were dating. I tried to keep my cool but she just made me so angry that I began to bully and share all of her deepest secrets, leading to her break up with my ex. When that happened I still continued, despite all of the new cuts up and down her arms. She apologized many times but I refused to listen, a few days ago she was found dead, surrounded by multiple pill bottles and a razor blade covered in her own blood. Being here is the punishment I deserve, and I am perfectly ok with dying because I'm already dead." Elise, taking a breath, began to cry even harder.
Walking over to Elise, Lucy put her arm around her, "Shhh, it's ok."
Barging into the room is Adam still dressed in his robes, "Lucy, I know a spell that will make it so your powers will not hurt the girl when practicing."
"Tell me more." Lucy says with a bit of curiosity in her voice.

"Are you sure the spell is in here?" Elise asked.
"Positive." Said Adam.
"What is it called again?" Lucy asks while scanning over a shelf of books.
"The Book of Resistance." Adam responds.
Looking at another shelf in the dusty library Lucy pulls a book out, "Found it."
"I need to go attend to your father." Adam states, "I'll be around later, let me know if it works."
"Will do." Says Lucy, not realizing Adam was already gone. Turning back to Elise, who is reading the book she asks, "Find the spell?"
"Yes. Right here." Elise says, her finger tapping the page.
Swiftly grabbing the book, Lucy reads out loud, "In order to stop a practice of pain---" she trails off. "Elise do you trust me?"
"Yes, I trust you. What do I need to do?"
"It says that you willingly need to bleed--" Lucy continues, "and I need to drink at least a cups worth of your blood."
