Chapter Thirty Four: Broken Inside
[Niall’s POV]
I opened my eyes the next morning to find myself all alone. I sat up in bed as I quickly brought my hands to my head. I had a raging headache and I’m pretty sure it was from drinking too much last night. Normally Harry was always there to make sure I didn’t do anything stupid that I’d regret, but no-one had heard from him or Zoe all day, so we had assumed that they’d spent the night in together. Fuck. Memories from last night filled my head as an overwhelming sense of guilt washed over me. I’d gotten into a fight at the bar while I was out with Emily. I remember I was being too over protective when she’d started talking to another guy so i'd punched him square in the face.
“Argh!” I said letting out a frustrated groan as even more of my memory came flooding back. After the fight at the bar I remember Emily not being able to stop crying. It must have been hard for her to see me so angry and so shaken up over something that shouldn’t even matter. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, I remember that when we had gotten back to our room we’d gotten into a huge fight about it. Just before she stormed out of the room she told me she didn’t want to speak to me and was going to stay the night with Tilly and Zayn. I’d really made a mess of things, that was for sure. I jumped out of bed looking almost as terrible as I had last night and attempted to clean myself up a bit. I put on some shoes and rushed out of my room as I began to look for her.
[Tilly’s POV]
I heard three loud knocks at our door as I unwillingly pulled Zayn’s arms off of me (being careful not to wake him) and crawled out of bed as I headed to find out who was at the door. It was 1am in the morning, who would seriously be thinking of coming here at this hour? I hoped to god that it wasn’t fans who had found out where we were staying.
“Emily?” I questioned as I opened the door and saw a blonde haired girl standing in front of me crying.
“Tilly!” She cried as she stumbled through the doorway and fell onto me.
“Em, don’t cry baby!” I said as I wrapped my arms around her in comfort. “Quick, come in here I don’t want to wake poor Zayn up” I said as I dragged her into the bathroom and closed the door. We sat down on the floor as I wiped away the mascara tears that stained her beautiful face.
“What’s wrong? Where’s Niall? Did something happen?” I began sounding worried but she interrupted me.
“I don’t give a fuck where Niall is!” She said in-between cries.
“Oh c’mon, you don’t mean that honey” I said shaking my head in disbelief. She smelt and sounded drunk and I knew that this probably wouldn't be such a big deal in the morning, when she was sober.
“No! I really don't! He got into a fight at the bar because I was talking to guy who wasn't him!” She said as tears still continued to fall down her light pink cheeks.
“Oh wow!” I said surprised, that really wasn’t a Niall thing to do. “Is he okay? He’s not hurt is he?” I asked sounding a little worried for his saftey. After all, he was only a small little guy and would be very capable of getting seriously hurt.
“No he’s perfectly fine. In fact he couldn’t care less… About me!” She cried as she slapped her hands across her face.
“Babe I know that’s not true…” I said disagreeing. “You look really…tired… I think we should get you to bed and we can sort this all out in the morning” I said trying to reason with her. Tired really wasn’t the word I would have used, drunk, probably suited this situation a lot better but I knew she really wouldn’t be appreciative of my harsh words. After all...she had been through alot tonight...
