Shownu's Dream Girl (Monsta X fanfic)

Chapter 10

Mya had been in a rush all day, even while she was going through her normal routine it, it was on the back of her mind that she had a big date tonight. She had never felt this excited and nervous for a date before except for this guy she really liked at college and was convinced was her first love but he was nothing compared to shownu plus they only ended up dating for a few months when she realised he was more looks than personality. She tried to push it out of her mind when she was writing her books but she started to mold the male character in her book after Shownu and she only realised when she read through the draft. She facepalmed herself, "Mya get a hold of yourself. You have work to do before you can think about it" She told herself out loud trying to make a mantra to concentrate but she realised after 5 minutes that it wouldn't work.

She pushed her chair away from her desk and stood up, walking towards her room and looking at her closet. Her wardrobe took up the space of one wall, it was one of the reasons why she picked this apartment because she had a love for fashion and had more bags, shoes and clothes than necessary. Being a writer paid well for her so she was more than comfortable and was grateful whilst scanning over her clothes with her eyes looking for the right outfit.

Shownu hadn't given her many details, all he said was that he would pick her up at 7pm for dinner. She didn't know where they were going or what type of cuisine it was, if they were doing anything after but she liked spontaneity and surprises so she was all for it. The only thing she didn't like was that she didn't know what to wear, whether it would be too fancy or simple.

She decided her outfit from her shoes first, she picked a pair of dressy heels which were a dark metallic red with cheery blossom flowers printed on the block heels giving it colour and height. She paired it with a black wrap mini skirt and a soft pink pastel satin cami which she would tuck into the skirt. It was slightly chilly outside so she picked up a knee length fur jacket she had recently bought since it was lush and kept her warm.

She looked at her gucci watch and saw that it was nearly 5 o'clock, she had to pick up Kangwoo and drop him home so she threw on her jacket and left to pick up het adorable nephew.

*an hour and a half later*

Mya was nearly ready, she had just finished her make up and was curling the bottom of her hair. She picked up some mousse to put in her hair so the curls would hold all night if needed. Her phone buzzed signalling a message so she quickly got up to wash the stickiness from her hands and rushed back to her vanity swiping her phone open. 

Shownu: I'll be there in 10 minutes, can't wait to see you x 

Mya picked up her phone to reply and typed a quick message.

Mya: I'm good to go, me too :) x

Mya felt her heart flutter along with a burst of nervousness, all day she was anticipating tonight and feeling confident once she styled her look but now she could feel the nervousness coming on. Not that it was bad, she took it in stride and saw it as a good thing since a guy who made her feel as such must be worth it. She would gladly try out that theory of shownu, she quickly got up and shook her head of those thoughts. She grabbed her jacket and her purse, putting on her heels before taking a last look at the mirror. She smiled at herself softly when she saw her reflection, she looked banging if she could say so herself.

She heard a knock on her door and took a deep breath before opening the door. Shownu was standing in front of her looking all handsome in a black tux, he was looking at the floor so when he raised his eyes to her slowly scanning her body from her heels up her legs over her dress and finally to her face, she saw his eyes widen and laughed before she could catch herself. She felt a blush spread on her cheeks despite herself. 

"Oh wow" She heard Shownu remark, "Mya, you look beautiful" he said more confidently. "Oh shit, where's my manners? Here, these are for you." Shownu moved his hand which was hiding behind his back towards Mya and handed her a bouquet of pink roses. 

Mya felt like she was melting into a puddle in front of this guy, he was too much. "Oh Shownu, thank you so much" she said moving her hand towards his cheek when she heard some one shout "wait wait, stay there. That's an amazing shot." 

Mya stopped still and looked past Shownu's shoulder confused, she could hear him muttering swear words under his breath. She saw some one's legs hanging out from the open door but she didn't know who it was. The person was wiggling his legs like he was trying to look for something in the car.

"I've got it" the guy yelled and hopped out of the car happily. She saw Minhyuk standing up and straightening his clothes. "Sorry Mya, Shownu agreed to drop me off on the way since I'm meeting someone when I looked out the window and saw you two standing there like that, I just had to take a picture." He fumbled with the camera before the two could utter any words so Shownu put his arm around Mya's waist and moved her toward softly, he dropped his head slightly and moved closer so his breath was hitting her hair when he spoke. "C'mon, let's take the picture. Minhyuk will turn this into a photo shoot if we don't do it quickly" Shownu muttered quietly, he turned to look at her in the eyes "but I'm glad we'll get a picture together. You looking amazing." His eyes dropped down to her legs again and Mya liked the compliments a little too much.

She raised herself on her heels a bit since Shownu was still a little taller than her and was about to kiss him on the cheek when the flash went off startling her and making her stumble. She started to fall off the step but felt Shownu's strong arms catch her mid fall. "OH MY GOD stay there, don't you dare move" Minhyuk said strongly, clicking away at the camera. "It's like a kdrama" he said romantically holding his hands over his heart in an overly dramatic manner.

Shownu groaned out loud, looking embarrassed and Minhyuk realised that Shownu would get this wrapped up soon so he raised his hands to stop Shownu and instructed him. 

"Just stand straight and nice together so we can get a normal pic", he gave them both encouraging smiles. They stood up straight with Mya fixing her dress and Shownu wrapped his arm around her waist making her lean into him. Minhuk was grinning widely and took a shot, "now Mya look up at Shownu Oppa like you're love smitten" he said cheekily. 

Mya listened to Minhyuk automatically feeling like a puppet and heard Shownu shout "oi" jokingly. Shownu looked down at Mya and a slow smile grew on his face making her smile back, they were focussed on each other and didn't notice all the clicks going off. It felt like minutes were flying past. 

Minhyuk shouted at them making them look away from one another and step back, "C'mon I'm going to be late, lets go to the mo!" he shouted. 

"Mo?" Mya asked Shownu looking confused, "Ignore him, It's a western rnb song and he likes singing lyrics" Shownu said. To prove his point, they heard a change of tone and saw Minhyuk about to get in the car but he slowly started to sing Move by Taemin doing the dance for a few seconds before getting in the car and closing the door. They both looked at each other and started laughing at the total randomness. Minhyuk rolled down the window and shouted "let's goooooo" dragging the word out and giving them a cheeky wink making Shownu and Mya hurry up. He grabbed her hand and led her to the back seat, opening the door and letting her in first. Shownu got in after her and told the driver to go. She couldn't wait for the rest of the night if this was the beginning and she was already enjoying herself this much.
