11th Chapter: Sorry - The Rose
A week later Yongguk decided it was safe to go back home.
He didn't allow me to go back to my home though, so I went to his apartment with him.
"Gukkie, can we go back to my place to get some stuff? Please?" I asked with a pleading look on my face and he sighed.
"Fine, but I'm coming with you." He grinned.
Together we made our way to his car and got in, when suddenly my phone rang. Yongguk locked the car from the inside and checked around us to make sure no one saw us.
"Who is it?" he asked.
"It says 'Junhongie.'" I quietly answered and showed him the screen.
"Fucking asshole. Pick up" he nodded and I accepted the call.
"Y/N! Nice to know you're still alive. Can't say that about our youngest member now, can I?" It was Jooheon again.
"Listen you fucking dipshit, I just avenged my friend, is that so hard to understand?!"
"Well, if he was actually dead I'd say yes, but since he isn't-"
"Stop fucking lying, you hear me?! I don't believe one word coming out of your dirty mouth, you motherfucker!"
"Well, if you don't wanna hear it from me, I guess he has to tell you himself." He snarled and I heard someone cough.
"Y/N?" I felt a cold shiver running down my spine and my breathing stopped for a moment.
"Junhong?" I asked, not being able to believe what I was hearing.
"Is it really you? Are you okay? Where are you?" I asked frantically looking at Yongguk who seemed just as shocked as me.
"Y/N. Please." His voice was nothing but a mere whisper and he sounded so broken.
"What have they done to you, Junhongie?" I asked, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Please. Help me. Make it stop." Was all he managed to say before Jooheon took the call over again.
"See? He ain't dead. But two of my guys are. I guess we have to compensate now, huh?" I could hear the grin in the way he was speaking.
"Jooheon, please. If I had known, I wouldn't have-"
"It's too late to say sorry now, bitch. You killed my guy, he killed my guy. Now I gotta kill your guy. Easy as that." He chuckled.
"Jooheon I swear to fuck if you hurt him-"
"YOU SAID THA BEFORE, AND THEN YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAID HE WAS FINE AND NOW YOU WANT ME TO SPARE HIM?! HOW DELUSIONAL ARE YOU, YOU FUCKING WHORE?!" his voice was so loud that even Yongguk heard him.
"Say bye to your beloved Zelo. Oh wait. You don't love him. How tragic." Jooheon said and before I could react, I heard a gunshot.
"NO!" I screamed and started shaking.
Jooheon hung up.
My hand slowly sank down onto my leg and I stared at the ground, silently crying, my whole body shaking.
"I lost him, Gukkie. Twice. I lost him twice." I whispered, repeating it like a mantra.
"Hey, stop, it's not your fault! You didn't kill him! You didn't know he was alive in the first place!" Yongguk tried calming me down.
"Twice. I lost him twice. Twice." I kept whispering, the tears streaming down my face, burning my cold skin.
"Let's get you back inside, okay? I'll call the others and tell them to come over." Yongguk said, but I didn't even listen to him. He got out of the car and closed the door on his side. He jogged over to my side, opened the door and helped me to get out. I was standing on my legs, shaking, when he closed the door.
He took my hand in his and we started walking back inside his house, where he gently helped me get on the couch and put a blanket over me.

When I woke up, I heard muffled voices coming from the kitchen.
I rubbed my eyes and pushed the blanket off me, since I was sweating.
I got up and walked over to the kitchen.
"Yonggukkie?" I asked with a husky voice, looking at the men sitting around the table.
"Hey y/n." Daehyun smiled weakly, waving at me, and I waved back.
"Hey babe, did we wake you up?" Yongguk asked and gestured for me to sit down on the free chair next to him.
Then I remembered what had happened earlier.
And I knew why no one was sitting on that chair.
Suddenly all the memories I had with Junhong hit me like a hurricane and I broke down crying. Yongguk and the others immediately rushed to my side and tried comforting me.
"WHY DID HE HAVE TO DIE?! IT'S ALL MY FAULT! I KILLED HIM!" I started screaming and sobbing violently.
"Y/N, no, it's not your fault! Hey, please calm down, we all miss him, okay? It's not your fault!" Jongup crouched down next to me and shook my shoulders gently, making me look up at him.
"Please, believe me when I say it is not your fault." He looked into my eyes and I sniffled again, being more calm now.
"I'm sorry." I mumbled and got up, with Yongguk's help, so we could sit down at the table.
"What were you guys talking about?" I asked and rubbed my eyes.
"A plan. How we get rid of Monsta X." Himchan stated and looked over at Jongup, who was playing with a knife in his elegant hands.
He was just about to talk about something, as my phone suddenly rang again, making me jump and widen my eyes in fear.
"I'll take it." Jongup said and snatched the phone from the table.
"Hello?" he said after a moment of silence.
He squinted his eyes as he was listening to the other person speak.
Then he shook his head and glanced at me, worry making way onto his face.
After another minute he hung up, putting the phone slowly down on the table.
"Who was it?" Himchan asked, folding his hands.
Jongup didn't say anything, he didn't have to. His expression told me who it was, which made me ball my hands into fists.
"It was Jooheon, right?" I grunted, staring at the dark phone screen.
Jongup nodded slowly, waiting for my reaction.
I jumped a bit as I felt Yongguk taking my hand and squeezing it lightly.
"Sorry." He mumbled and was about to take his hand away again, but I grabbed it again, smiling at him.
"What did he tell you?" I asked Jongup again.
He sighed, seeming to think about his choice of words.
"He said he wants to meet up at the EGO." he explained, exchanging glances with Yongguk.
"Did he tell you why?" Himchan asked.
"I think we know why. This is gonna be the end. Someone is going to die, and he knows. I bet he's not expecting that it will be him." I growled, scraping my nails over table, making the others cringe at the sound.
"I didn't know you could be this scary." Jongup mumbled and I smiled.
"Some people bring out the worst in you."
