5th Chapter; Going Crazy – EXO
Junhong's POV:Reading her message again, I threw my phone onto my bed in anger and frustration.
She was out with friends and didn't want to tell me who or where they were.
But Himchan had told me.
Oh, he told me.
"How can you do this to me, y/n?!" I let out a frustrated groan and pulled my hair.
And then I felt it again.
That tension rising up my throat.
The feeling of not being able to breathe.
I rushed to the bathroom and started coughing over the sink.
When the first few petals fell, I heard a knock on the front door.
I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry.
But I couldn't.
The flowers took so much energy, so much life out of me.
I couldn't even scream for help.
Or scream for her to go away.
To make it stop.
It was her fault after all, that these flowers were growing inside of me, depriving me of breath, of my voice.
I coughed up more and more petals, sometimes even a whole flower and only stopped once I was unable to breath. Then the flowers suddenly stopped and I stepped away from the sink, shaking, my hands trembling, my throat hurting, my eyes burning from the hot tears streaming down my face.
"Junhong!"
Her voice seemed like a light in the dark, but it was the dark itself at the same time.
There I was, leaning against the bathroom wall, slowly sliding down, my mouth wide open, my eyes half closed, my face wet with tears, my hair sticking to my forehead as the fever made its way back.
There I was, sitting in the sea of broken flowers, surrounding me like a wall of barbed wire, making it impossible for me to get out and for her to get in.
"Junhong~ah! Please open the door!" there it was again.
Her voice.
So heavenly, so ethereal, so sinful.
With all the energy left in my body I got up and walked out of the bathroom, locking the door behind me.
When I stood before the front door, I took a deep breath and slowly opened it.
"Junhong! Finally! Oh my god, I was so worried about you!" she immediately hugged me and it felt like a thousand daggers were stabbed through where she touched me.
"You shouldn't worry about me. I'm fine." I murmured into her hair as I hugged her back.
"Have you talked to a doctor yet? The fever seemed to be strong." She let go of me and looked into my eyes with that worried look on her face that made me want to kiss her and tell her that everything will be fine.
"No. It's fine, I'm better now. Come in." I said and gestured for her to enter my apartment, which she did.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" she asked and sat down on the couch.
I sat down next to her on the other end on the couch and pulled my legs to my chest, staring at her, watching her every move.
"Where were you today?" I asked, my voice shaking.
She fumbled with the hem of her sweater and glanced at me.
"Dramarama, the Karaoke Bar." Was her short answer which she mumbled into the scarf that was halfway covering her mouth.
"Who were you with?" I asked again.
"Why are you-"
"Answer the question!" I unwillingly shouted at her and she winced.
"I...Junhong, why the fuck are you like this?! You're not my boyfriend! Even if you were, I wouldn't need to tell who I hang out with or where I am! I'm leaving now, if you decide to not be an ass anymore, you can call me." Shock went through my body as she jumped up from the couch and ran out of my apartment, slamming the door behind her.
And thus, I was left with nothing but the sound of silent tears running down my face and the tension in my chest rising up again.Regular POV:
I was boiling with anger and frustration as I ran outside of the building and thought about Junhong again.
What the fuck had gotten into him that he suddenly behaved so overprotective? He had never been like this before.
"Excuse me, are you okay?" a familiar voice asked. I turned around and the guy from the café was standing in front of me, his hair as fluffy as the last time I saw him. He was even more beautiful up close.
"Yes, I'm sorry." I said and coughed, realizing that tears were streaming down my face.
"Here." The guy said and handed me a tissue.
"Thank you." I murmured and cleaned my face.
When I looked back at him he smiled and me and my heart felt warm. He had such a sweet smile, I thought I would melt right on the spot.
"Uhm, thanks. I'm sorry for bothering you." I mumbled and was about to walk away, as he held me back.
"You seem like you could use some company right now. Why don't we take a walk together?" his voice was so deep and warm like honey and I couldn't resist nodding and smiling at him.
"Thank you so much."
His smile grew even wider and he put his hands in the pockets of his coat.
"I'm y/n. Nice to meet you." I chuckled and we started walking.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Yongguk."
