13th Chapter: Sweet Lies – EXO

Regular POV:

Kicking Jooheon away from me, I turned around watching the other members ofB.A.P enter the club.
"They're dead. Still need to find two of them." Yongguk announced and I smiledat him, turning back around, looking down on the dying Jooheon, his breathflat, the blood spilling out of the wound in his stomach. I walked over to him, standing so my boots were on the left and right side of his shoulders.
"I fucking hate you." I stated coldly, aiming the gun at his face and smilingat him.
Then I pulled the trigger, the shot ringing in my ears.
"We'll go looking for the others." Jongup announced, and took Youngjae andDaehyun with him.
As they left the room, I inspected Jooheon's dead body closer.
His hand was still in his pocket, so I reached in there and pulled somethingout.
It was Junhong's necklace.
I heard footsteps behind me and the sound of someone turning around andgasping.
Then I heard the shot and quickly turnedaround.
Shock and horror were written all over my face, followed by fear.
He looked at me apologetically. There was sadness in his eyes. He sank to hisknees, a knowing smile on his perfect face. Tears started flowing down hischeeks. I rushed over to him, holding him in my arms.
I was expecting blood to drip out of his mouth, soaking his shirt.
But there were only sunflower petals gently floating to the ground.
"YONGGUK!" I screamed, rushing to his side and dropping down on my kneesnext to him.
"No!" I sobbed and stroked his hair gently.
"It's okay, babe. I love you." He muttered, coughing up more flowers.
"Why are there flowers? No, Yongguk, please stay with me, I need you, I loveyou." I mumbled through my tears.
He just kept smiling at me, raising his hand slowly, bringing it up to my cheekand wiping the tears away.
"Don't worry. I love you. I always will, I always have. But he does too." Hishand was slowly sinking again, his eyelids fluttering.
"No...please...Yonggukkie." I whimpered.
"I want you to live. I want you to be happy." His smile faded, his voice wasquiet, almost a whisper.
He closed his eyes and breathed out once more, his body becoming lifeless.
"NO!" I screamed again, gently shaking him. I was sobbing, screaming, mybreathing was flat, short.
"Y/N?!" I heard Jongup's voice, but didn't look up at him. Instead, my headsank down onto Yongguk's chest. I was feeling weaker, my body was giving up onme.
"Y/N, what happened?!" Jongup rushed to my side, sinking down next to me.
"I...I..." I couldn't get the words out, they were stuck in my throat.
"I killed him." A familiar voice appeared behind me, making me slowly lift myhead, turning around slowly.
There he was, standing behind me with that pained look on his face, the gun inhis trembling hand.
"You're dead." I whispered, gently putting Yongguk's body down on the ground, brushing a strand of hair out of his face.
Then I stood up and stared at him.
"You're dead." I repeated, louder this time.
"You're dead, but somehow you're here. You should be dead. YOU SHOULD BE DEAD,NOT HIM!" I screamed again, seeing him flinch and trying to become smaller.
"I know." He whispered, daring to look into my eyes.
"YOU SHOULD BE DEAD! WHY ARE YOU HERE?! YOU'RE DEAD! DEAD! WHY IS HE DEAD?! WHYDID YOU KILL HIM?! WHY ARE YOU NOT DEAD?!"my screams were getting louder with every word, making the others step awayfrom me.
The screams evolved into an inhumane screech, and I pressed my hands to myears, trying to blank out the pain that was numbing my body.
"Y/N." Junhong said, making me snap out of the state I was in.
"Y/N, please. Listen to me." He stepped forward.
"Stay away from her, you bastard, you fucking traitor." Jongup growled, stepping next to me, aiming his gun at Junhong.
Junhong chuckled.
"What's so funny? Do you like killing your friends? Is that funny to you?" Iasked him, feeling completely numb. I wasn't even feeling pain anymore.
"No, sorry. I can't help but notice that you're kind of pretty." He said, dropping his gun.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" I asked again.
"That was the first thing I said to myself when I met you for the first time. You haven't figured it out? Really?" he chuckled again, taking another stepforward.
"Y/n, you can't love. You didn't love him. You never did. You don't love himnow. And I know you don't love me. But I don't care. You don't care." He smiledat me, extending his hand.
"What?" I furrowed my brow in confusion.
"You're the flower, y/n. You've always been the flower." He smiled at me again.
Jongup stepped away from me, making me look at him in confusion.
"You don't have anyone. They're scared of you." He continued.
"Why are there flowers?" I asked Junhong, slowly reaching for his hand.
"Because of you. He loved you. I love you. Jongup loves you. Himchan probablydoes too. But you don't love anyone, because of the flowers." He kept smilingat me, that same smile which made my heart melt when I had met him for thefirst time in my dream.
"No. You're wrong." I whispered.
"Am I?" he seemed thrown off.
I smiled at him.
"I did love Yongguk. But I love you even more. I know you wanted to kill me. Tomake it stop. To make it go away. But he stepped in. You didn't want to killhim. I know. I've tried too. Do you want to know who stepped in back then?" Itook his hand and he swallowed nervously.
"It was you, Junhong. It's always been you." I said quietly.
"I love you, Junhong."
There we stood, my hand in his, the dead body of my guardian behind me, beingguarded by his loyal friends.
It seemed like forever until we finally left the club, leaving Himchan, Jongup,Youngjae and Daehyun behind. And, of course, Yongguk's body.
It pained me to leave them like this, but I wanted to make Yongguk happy. So Itook his last words to heart.
He had chosen to die for me.
I would not let that fact be forgotten.
But I had always been destined to be with Junhong.
Yongguk knew that. He knew that this moment would come.
He knew he would have to step in at some point.
I had loved him.
But my love for Junhong was meant to be the true one.
