So after my confession to Fitz, all he did was a smile and laugh and we continued on as if nothing happened, which I was unearthly thankful for. After we finished I went to hand the necklace back to him but laughed "You can keep it, Sophie. That is if you want to?" I felt heat flush my face as I smiled saying "Yes, of course, it is beautiful. I just thought you wanted to keep it." Fitz flipped imaginary hair as he said "I know it would look great on me, but yes. I would like for you to keep it." He was silent for a moment blinking before he said, "I been hanging around Keefe too much." I laughed patting his now gloved hand as I said, "Yes Fitz, yes you have."

I left his room a smile on my face just as Halfborn walked by, he smiled at me showing his crooked yellow teeth as he said "Ah! Jus' the blondie I needed to speak with!" He had a strong slang for each word, then again, he is a Viking. I frowned as I asked "Me? About what?" His smile grew to a comforting type as he said, "T.J wants to talk to ya, he ain't really one to wait since bein' in Valhalla." I frowned nodding as I laughed "Yeah, ok. Would not hurt, would it?" Halfborn shook his head his hair nearly taking up his entire face.

Following him through the halls he opened to a large room where a dark-skinned man lay his shoulders hunched over as he cleaned a bayonet. The sharp point glittering in the lowering sun he looked up when we walked in his dark eyes taking me in a second before he smiled setting his gun down as he walked over to me his blue jacket fluttering as he walked his black cargo pants seemed to hold something in the pockets but I thought I didn't want to know what exactly was in those pockets.

Halfborn left us and T.J pulled a pale red book from out of a drawer and I recognized it instantly. It was the book I gave to Nico. T.J flipped through the worn pages before handing it to me "Is this yours?" He asked nicely his white teeth shining as he smiled, I returned the smile taking the book gently as I whispered "Yes, thank you, T.J." He nodded running a finger over the spine as I held it and he asked "What does it mean exactly? Percy read it to us, Reyna said she might know some friends outside New Rome, but we have a while to get there." I shrugged tucking the book under my shirt "Maybe talk to Percy? He seems to be the one in charge." I didn't mean for it to sound so venomous.

T.J nodded nonetheless as he sighed "Perhaps, he just seems so sick. I hate to bother him, Magnus and Linh also. I feel so bad for them." I suddenly had a thought, Leo built this ship he also controls fire. Maybe he knows about Kremlin's plans? Or some information that can help us...but remains of burned knowledge? "Leo!" I said out loud accidentally. T.J frowned asking "Leo...?" I shook my head smiling as I hugged T.J "Thank you for the book! Do you know where Leo is?" T.J nodded pointing east his brow furrowing "Yeah, back of the ship." I nodded leaving his room and sprinting through the halls and very nearly running into Piper, she jerked back her braids fluttering, she frowned at me but didn't say anything to the sprinting blondie.

I shoved through quartz doors taking in the fact that I was in the front of the ship, I huffed and started my two miles run to the end of the ship dodging Mallory Keen her frizzy red hair reminded me of Rachel. I made it to the end of the ship gasping, Leo was nowhere to be seen. Damn, the one time I want to see a pyro, one is nowhere to be seen. Suddenly I saw the dark haired boy emerge from the ground carrying a hammer, he raised a brow when he saw me "Hello..." Was all he said his dark eyes flicked over mine as he asked "Whatcha need, blondie?" I glared at him because of the nickname but shook my head snapping back to the topic as I asked "What do you know about fire?"

He laughed "Quite a bit, I mean I control it. Pretty resistant to it also, what do you want to know about it? Not gonna blow anything up are you?" Suddenly the melting jeweled tower flashed through my mind, the blazing hot red flames melting it to a dark purple puddle, the day Kenric lost his life. I shook my head "No, I just have a question about how much ash it takes for the whole Earth to be coated in enough ash to make its temperature drop to almost freezing temperature." Leo froze messing with some metals as he looked at me his eyes hardening as he said slowly "Quite a lot of ash, actually. Like a super volcano, even then. It has to be super." I pressed the palm of my hand to my head scraping up my mind of volcanoes powerful enough to cause that much damage, none came to mind.

"Why?" Leo asked his tan, muscled arms crossing over his chest as he leaned on a counter his dark brow raising at me, I couldn't get answers from Leo without telling him about Kemlin. "Come," I said, he frowned but nodded putting his hammer away as he followed me back to the front of the ship. In the time of our walk I rounded up all the elves and told them to meet in the room we met to talk to Mrs. Song in. Bronte nearly didn't but he gave in.

I pushed open the ruby door to reveal my friends leaning against the wall laughing and talking in the Enlightened Language. Just as I guessed. They all froze looking at Leo and me wide-eyed, I motioned for Leo to enter, he did twisting his fingers together.

"Leo Valdez, we are elves from the Lost Cities and we need your help to stop Kemlin Vacker from destroying the world." I shifted my gaze to Leo but not before seeing the shock on my friend's faces at the sudden outburst of what we are to a demigod and the most terrifying of all.

Pure rage so big on Bronte's face he looked ready to inflict on me while slapping me.
