9. Dress Up Time

"Nephew." The slight incline of the head. That's all Theo gets. Okay, then. There is an uncomfortable silence in the hall and I take that time to look around. A huge, bright chandelier is hanging right above us, almost blinding me. The walls are off-white and the floor is a dark wood. There is an enormous staircase right in front of the main doors, like the ones you see in princess movies. They must be really rich to have a royal palace like this.

I walk over to Theo's uncle and feel everyone tense up. They really must not like this guy. Or they're just afraid of him. I plaster a huge, fake grin on my face and offer my hand for him to take. He slowly takes it and I grab it with a tight grip. I squeeze his hand, making sure it's painful and the pain is very visible on his face. I already know I won't like him.

"Hi. I'm Alexandra." I introduce myself as he tries to release his hand from mine. I forcefully let go, looking at his very red hand. Damn, I'm strong. He clears his throat and puts his sore hand behind him so no one sees. No one waits for him to introduce himself. Bethany just jumps right in to save this awkward moment.

"Okay, if we are done here, we'll go show Alexandra to her room." She forces a smile and grabs Skylar's hand along with mine, dragging us up the stairs. I observe my surroundings, making sure that there is a possible exit anywhere at anytime. We make one right turn once we are up the stairs then two left turns. At least my room isn't too far from main hall. Once we reach the door, it has initials on it. A.K. Alexandra Knightly, maybe?

"This is your room. Your initials are on it so you would know which is which." Bethany says, already opening the door.

"Wouldn't Alexander have the same initials, though?" I ask.

"Nope. He knows which one is his." She replies and I nod my head.

"So, when's the wedding?" I ask. Maybe it's in a few weeks?

"This Thursday." Wait, what? That's 5 days from now.

"How many people will be attending?"

"Around 100, maybe 150." That's a lot of people for one wedding. How many friends do they have? She opens my closet door and smiles proudly. I look in from behind her and my eyes almost bug out of my sockets. It's all so..... colorful. Ew. There is not one thing that is black. At least I brought all my fancy black dresses with me. Thank, God for that.
