Chapter Twenty-Seven

27. The Letter and Theo

My eyes flutter open and I turn around, only to be greeted with the sunlight in my eyes. I groan and turn again, this time, smacking someone in the face with the back of my hand. My eyes widen and I get up, watching as Theo jolts awake. My eyes widen even further and I push him off the bed. He rolls off and his almost-naked body hits the ground with a loud thud.

"What the hell are you doing in my bed?" I shriek as he looks at me with confusion.

"Your bed? This is my bed. And what the hell are you doing in it?" Theo retorts then smirks. "Not that I'm complaining, though."

I look around the room. It's the complete opposite of my room. I look back at Theo and it all comes to me. Everything from last night. Drunk Theo, me taking him to his room, the almost ki- Oh my god. Right. That happened too.

A blush forms on my cheeks and Theo's smirk grows wider. Asshole.

"Thinking about last night?" Theo wiggles his eyebrows suggestively.

"How do you even remember that?" I ask. He was drunk.

"I wasn't completely, flat-out drunk. I knew what I was doing." Oh, god.

"That means-"

"Yup." Theo has a smug look on his face and I grab a pillow, smacking him square in the face with so much force, he falls back on the ground.

"You're such an egotistical, asshole-y, idiotic elephant and a.. a- A FROG!" I blurt out while he jumps into a fit of laughter. He reaches up to wipe a fake tear and then looks at me. Maybe wasn't the best comeback...

"It's not like you didn't enjoy it, babe." He comments, only to be greeted with another pillow hitting him.

He continues laughing and I get up from the bed. I open the door and walk out, slamming the door so hard behind me, the chandelier on the ceiling shudders. Oops.

My eyes scan over the letter for the umpteenth time, translating over and over again. Liam is Theo's brother. And Theo could possibly be a prince?

Prince. That makes Liam a prince too. I wonder who's older. And Nilah. Could she be someone Theo loved...?

I sigh. Probably. Why else would Theo want to leave? And what is this grudge Theodore has against his brother? What did Liam do to piss off Theodore so bad? And why the hell did no one tell me about this?
