Fast forward to Friday*
Emily's POV
I wake up to my alarm going off and my phone vibrating. My best friend Lauren is calling me. " hello?" My voice groggy. " today's the day Ems. I'll be over in 5." I sigh " great, see you then." Click. I set up, stretch and yawn, then walk down to my kitchen. My Siberian husky, Delilah follows. I fix my self a bowl of honey and oats, then slimy dog food for Delilah. We both eat in silence until my doorbell rings. I place my bowl down then walk to the door. " good morning Ems." says Lauren walking in. " good morning? what's so good about it? and what's so special about today?" I mumble fake crying." your date with that guy from Pizza Hut, uh what was his name? oh yeah! Pete." my eyes go wide and I'm fully awake." wait what?!?" " don't tell me you forgot." I nod." I'm here to get you dressed up." Lauren states taking my hand and walking up stairs.
"What did he tell you to wear again?" she asks stepping into my closet. " um, semi casual." I answer checking my phone. 1 missed call from Pete. I sigh and throw my phone onto my bed. " what's the matter?" Lauren asks from my bathroom." I'm really nervous la. I don't know why. I feel like crying....." I say throwing a pillow over my face." awe Ems everything will be fine, really. please don't cry." I set up to hug her. After some tears and hugging, I put on the outfit Lauren picked out. A maroon jumper, ripped skinny jeans, and black vans( considering it's fall in Chicago). Once dressed, she begins on my makeup and hair. She gives me winged eyes and straightens my hair.
" You look absolutely beautiful Emily! Pete is going to flip. One more touch....." she sprays me with perfume then applies lipgloss." perfecto babe." I smile and hug her tightly. " now we wait." I said looking at the clock. It's only 6:00.
