Is He My Friend Or My Boyfriend (7)

During the drive home I asked Joshua a lot of questions. 

I asked him “So do you think I did the right thing back there"?

“Yup. He deserved it. He's a liar Tykia and you pointed that out to him. Not to mention you pointed it out to some of the school as well. I don't think any other girl would want to go out with him"? Josh said.

 ”Huh... I wish that skitch Natalie still wants to be with him. All these years he had been cheating on me. I... why couldn't he just tell me himself instead of me finding out like that"? I asked.

Josh had let out a huge sigh and then said “I don't know. I know that if we were dating I would tell you what I've been doing or at least not embarrass you".

I know he probably would do that but he probably wouldn't. Guys don't tell their girlfriends everything. I knew Josh would keep some things from me and I would understand but I don't expect him to tell me things like he went to the store to buy me a soda or he went out to buy himself some underwear.

I asked Josh “Do you think that I don't want to be your friend"?

I had to wait a while before he answered.

He said “Yeah I do think you want to be my friend but I also think you want to be more than friends".

For some reason I felt like what he said was actually asking me do I want to be more than friends. So I never answered that lingering question that was hanging in the air. We reach my house and I step out of the car. 

I said “Thanks for driving me home Josh. It was kind of you to do that".

“Hey no biggie like I said yesterday. I will be there for you if we are together or not together". Josh said.

Wow this dude actually keeps his promise maybe I am ready to move on.

I said “Thanks Joshua you’re really sweet you know".

He chuckles and said “Thanks. Oh tomorrow night I'm having a party at my house you comin since there’s no school tomorrow".

“Yeah I'm comin bye Josh".

"Bye Tykia".

After that he drove down the street to his house. I went straight into the house to call Destiny.

I went into the house and I saw Izaiah sittin on the couch watchin football. 

I haven't even been in the house for 20 seconds and immediately he asks “So are you ready to teach me how to ask a girl out"?

"Not now Izaiah I'm not in the mood for it now. I need to think about a couple things".

“I understand" he said.

I went up stairs to my room and washed up. After that I put my tank top on and my panties. I decided I was going to sleep in the clothes I put on because I wasn't in the best mood. It is 2:52pm. I set my clock to 11:00am since there wasn't school tomorrow. 

Four hours later I finished all the homework. It was 6:59pm when my phone rung. I looked at the caller ID and it said Destiny. I picked up the phone and said hi to Destiny.

She said “Are you okay Tykia? What he did to you was bad".

“Yeah it was but I'm okay. Anyway it was his ass that got embarrassed not mines".

“Yeah. I'm just checking on you to see if you were straight and anything. So are you and Josh ever going to date".

“Well I'm still wondering if he's my friend or my boyfriend. Today he took me out to lunch and we went as friend but when we kissed the other night and continued to flirt today it felt more than that".

“You shouldn't need to wonder. He’s a great guy and he really likes you. You should date him. Plus you two would be great together. Plus it'll make you love again. He looks like he actually loves you Tykia".

Was what Destiny telling me true?  Does Joshua Blake actually love me? Do I love him? We did know each other for like four to five years.

“You really think he loves me. I have feelings for him but... I do really like him. But I also don't want to go to fast with our relationship. He's a nice guy. I...I just don't know what to do".

“Yeah Tykia. He seems to treat you real nice. Also that's something that Luke never did to you. Luke loved you but he never actually spent some quality time with you. He also respect that you don't want to get into a relationship yet. To me that sounds like a real gentleman". Destiny said.

“Ok Destiny. I've realized what I want. I want to be just more than friends with Josh. Us just being friends isn't working out. If anything I feel like it’s tearing me apart. I know what I have to do tomorrow. I have to ask Josh to go out with me."

“Hold up I thought that was the males’ part of a relationship. They ask the girl out not vise versa".

“Well I already told him that I wanted to wait. I know. If he kiss me again tomorrow at the party then I can let him know then".

“Ok. Well I'm about to go eat Tykia. See you tomorrow".

“Ok. See you tomorrow Destiny. Wait! Thanks to".

Just like that I knew what I had to do tomorrow. Tomorrow is when Josh and I are going to start dating.
