Chapter 7: Allie

After staying in the hospital for a few days I was able to go home. They gave me pain killers i had to take with each meal.

Caleb stayed with me the whole time and slept in bed next to me or on the chair next to my bed. Now that we were back I was able to sleep comfortably in his arms again.

I had decided to move in with him at the pack house. My parents weren't that thrilled but they understood. Once one chose their mate, its extremely hard to separate the two.

They had captured the man and he was being held in the prisoner chamber. Caleb and Marcus would go down there every once in a while to torture him for information. So far they only know he was a rogue who had a grudge with a lot of people.

Right now I was laying in our bed trying to get some sleep. I heard the door open and footsteps following it. The bed sunk down and arms wrapped around me.

I breathed in Caleb's scent. I turned over and looked into his deep eyes knowing something happened.

"Caleb? What's wrong?"

"I......I killed him."

I gasped as I pulled him close to me. This was an emotional thing for him. As his mate, I needed to be there for him every step of the way.

"I killed my parents murderer. Its done. I actually feel at peace. Is that bad since I just killed a man?"

He looked into my eyes. His were glossy with unshed tears. I leaned in and kissed him gently.

"No. He was a despicable man who killed so many. He deserved his fate."

Caleb hugged me and laid down next to me.
"There is something we need to talk about."

I looked at him concerned. "What about?"

"My uncle wants to retire and since he has no kids, he wants to pass his beta position in the Sander pack to me. That would make you their female beta."

He paused to let me soak in the information. At first I was nervous but I looked at him and knew right away that this was the best thing for us.

"If you are ready for this, then so am I." His eyes lit up and he smiled at me.

"You are the best, you know that?"

"Yup" I said popping the 'p'. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.

"So how does moving over to the Sander pack Monday sound to you?"

"That's perfect." I kissed him and he kissed me back taking control. His mouth roamed down my neck leaving a trail of kisses.

He groaned. "Ugh. I just want to mark you as mine already."

"Then do it." I said breathless. He looked up with lust in his eyes.

"Are you sure?"

"Im positive." That's all it took. He kissed the spot and licked it. Slowly and gently he grew out his vanished teeth and sunk them into my neck.

At first it stung and hurt like crazy, but then it felt so good. I moaned and I felt him shiver at the sound. He pulled back and licked up the blood with his tongue. There was lust in his eyes.

I leaned forward and brushed my lips against his spot. After a minute I grew out my canines and sunk them into his neck.

I pulled away and lapped up the blood as he had done to me. He moaned and it was music to my ears. Finally we were truly mates.

He sat up and pulled me up so the I was straddling his lap. We kissed for a long time until there was a knocking at the door.

"I cant catch a break." Caleb muttered. He continued to kiss me and the knocking continued.

I pulled back and got off his lap. "You should see who that is."

Groaning he got up and opened the door. Bryan rushed in with an envelope. "You need to see this."

Caleb looked alarmed and took the envelope ripoing it opened. He pulled out a piece of paper. His eyes scanned it and he got angrier as he read it.

He crumbled it and through it to the floor and rushed out of the room. I picked it up and read what it said.

Caleb,

Get ready. That pretty little mate of yours isn't safe. You killed my mate, so now I'm coming after yours. Be prepared because she isn't as safe as you would think. Don't try going to that weak uncle of yours either. He deserves to be dead along with those no good parents of yours.

My hand was shaking and I felt a hand on my back. I turned to Bryan and hug him. I was scared and didn't know what was happening.

"Its ok Allie. We will all make sure you are safe. Caleb just mind linked me to pack up your stuff. You guys are going to the Sander pack today instead. Go sat good bye to your family while I get your stuff in order."

I nodded and took one of the guards with me as I headed to my parents house.

"Oh hija! Im so happy you're safe!" My mom cried hugging me tightly. My father was furious. He stored out after I told him and had beefed up security around the house.

After collecting some things I left behind, Bryan picked me up and took me back to the pack house where a car was waiting for me.

When I got in Caleb was there typing furiously on his phone. When he noticed my scent he looked up and hugged me tightly.

"You ready to meet the pack?" He asked cautiously. I nodded and we were on our way.

The drive was three hours long. I decided to lay back and take a nap. Slumber overtook me the minute I closed my eyes.

When I woke up I looked at the time and it had been about two and a half hours already.

Caleb glanced at me as he drove. "Good morning, hermosa."

I smiled and kissed his mark. His breathing hitched. He pulled over into the grass since we were in the middle of farm fields. He leaned across the console between us and kissed me deeply.

"Babe, you have bo idea what you do to me." He said as he pulled back onto the main road.

We drove in comfortable silence with the radio on for the next half hour.

We pulled up to a giant mansion with thick woods surrounding it. We pulled up and a man and Caleb's uncle came out to meet us.

Getting out, I hugged Toby and greeted the man who was the Alpha. He was older and had grey hair beginning to come out from his waves of black.

Caleb grabbed our bags and we went up to our room. Once we got in, Caleb flopped on the bed tired from all the driving. I curled up next to him and we both drifted off to sleep.
